Please read the authors note at the end. Enjoy :P"We settled now?" Louis asks as he's wrapped in a blanket, memories of when Fine Line came out rushing back to him. "Almost, getting water!" Harry says loudly from the room over. "Coming, coming." Harry says, setting the two glasses of water down on the nightstand. He pulls his laptop up into his lap, opening it and turning it on. "I'm excited, no one else has heard it?" Louis asks. "Besides the band, who needs to learn it for tour and stuff, no, only you." Harry says, finding the email and clicking it, the soundtrack app opening and showing the track list.
Louis snuggles deeper into the blanket as Harry scoots around to face him. "You ready?" Harry asks as Louis nods, watching as Harry starts smiling as he clicks play. "K, this is Music For A Sushi Restaurant." Harry says. A synth beat filling the room with a nice kick drum. Louis sits up, definitely not expecting this. His eyes widen as Harry's vocals start to overlay, raising to a nice screech before all the of beats stop, "Baa, babaaa, babaa, babaaa. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine." Harry's light vocals start the album. "Green eyes, fried rice, I could cook an egg on you. Late night, game time, coffee on the stove. You're sweet, ice cream, but you could use a flake or two. Blue bubblegum twisted 'round your tongue." Harry's beautiful falsetto captures the track nicely. "I don't want you to get lost. I don't want you to go broke. I want youuu. It's cause I love you babe, in every kinda way, just a little taste, you know I love you babe!" Harry's filtered voice ends the first verse. "Lizzo inspired you, huh?" Louis asks in a chuckle, quickly quieting down as the main instrumental part comes in.
Harry watches as Louis smiles wide at the song, the trumpets and horns always taking Harry's heart. "You and your goddamn horns." Louis says, smiling fondly. "Excuse me, green tea?" Music for a sushi restaurant, from ice on rice, skuba duba bu boo." The scatting takes Louis by surprise, since Harry has never done that in any of his music. "Music for a sushi restaurant, music for a sushi restaurant, music for whenever you want. Skuba duba bu boo. I'm not going to get lost, I'm not going to go broke. Staying coool. You know I love you babe!" Harry shouts again. The trumpets and horns all layered as the drums kick in and then fade out, only cutting down to the "baa baa's".
"If the stars were edi-ble, and our hearts were never full. Could we live with just a tas-te? Just a taste? It's cause I love you babe, in every kind of way, just a little taste, you know I love you babe!" And then suddenly, the first song is done. Harry pauses before the next song comes on, looking at Louis with wide eyes. "So?" He urges. "That was... wow. Not what I was expecting, but in a good way!" Louis backtracks when he sees Harry's face fall a little bit. "I didn't expect the bass to be so dirty, was that Mitch?" Louis says. "Well, he did write some of it, he did the drums too. But Tyler did the bass guitar." Harry explains. "Ahhh. No, Harry, darling. I loved that song, the seventies and eights funk wasn't what I expected but your voice suits it so well. I'm ready for the next song." Louis says, blowing a kiss to Harry. Harry catches it. "This is Late Night Talking." Harry smiles when he reads it out, clearly excited for Louis to hear it.
Another synth beat starts out, more keyboard this time, before the drums come in. Harry's voice coming in clear. "Things haven't been quite the same. There's a haze on the horizon, babe. It's only been a couple of days, and I miss youu. Mm, yeah." Harry's vocals sing out, continuing the eighties rock. "Nothing really goes to plan, you stub your toe or break your camera. I do everything I can, to help you throuugh." The first part of the verse ends. Harry's voice starts again with the synth tracking his vocals. "If you're feeling down, I just wanna make you happier baby. Wish I was around, I just wanna make you happier baby." The synth trails off again, starting the main chorus.
"We been doing, all this, late night, talking, 'bout anything you want, until the, morning. Now you're in my liife, I can't get you out my miind." Harry sings, more trumpets under his own backing vocals. "I've never been a fan of changes, but I'd follow you to any place. If it's Hollywood or Bishopsgate, I'm coming too." Louis looks at Harry. "Hey, that was my line!" He whines, making Harry grin. The pre-chorus and then the chorus plays again, Louis really liking the sound of the to songs so far.
