I sit down and my phone already dings.
Ava-"I wish you could be cuddled up next to me."
Me-"You and me both."
I get distracted when Kate wakes up a bit from me laughing.
"Finally you come and lay next to me," she turns towards me. I fake laugh and just brush it off like I always do. "You wanna have a quickie before our nap?" She asks. She should already know my answer.
"No."
I've never seen her this drunk before. She starts to move her hand up my thigh and I quickly push it off.
"I said no, Kate." She still doesn't listen and gets on top of me.
"Kate get off of me." I say firmly while fighting for her to get off.
"Come on just a little something, it'll be fun." She kisses down my neck as she pins me down. Me struggling to get her off. It felt disgusting. She was much stronger than me. Her holding my hands down with one hand and her other hand traveling down. I felt miserable. Tears streaming down my face as I keep telling her to stop.
"Kate, please, get off!" I yell louder and finally manage to push her off from holding my hands down. Ava burst through the door and her face went red. Kate gets up.
"I'm, I'm sorry Dez. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry."
Ava walks up to her and pins her against the wall. Ava is much taller than her and Kate looked scared. She punches her in the face.
"I should do a lot more for what you just did" Ava says still pining her to the wall. "You need to go to bed," Ava pushes her into the wall, but let's go of her. She grabs my hand and leads me out of the room. My eyes still watering. I'm drunk and that just happened. Not a good combo. Ava sits me on the couch in the movie theater area. She wipes away my tears.
"It's okay, breathe, look at me." She says. But my eyes still tearing up. She pulls me to cuddle up next to her. She rubs my head while I calm down.
"I should go beat her ass right now." Ava says angry. I can see the rage in her eyes, her body tensed up.
"Just stay here with me," I say. She kisses my forehead and pulls me closer to her. She smells so good and her comfort makes everything better. Next thing I know I'm waking up to the morning. Still being cuddled by Ava. I want everyday to be like this. I move her arm from around my stomach off. I sit on the opposite side of the couch on my phone when Lana walks in.
"Why are you guys both in here?" She asks with a confused look on her face.
Ava Jumps up from her sleep," where is she!?" She still looks angry. Lana still looking confused.
"Kate wouldn't get off of me last night after I kept telling her no." I say. "Ava heard me yell and came into the room. Then she brought me to sleep in here away from her."
"Oh my, what the fuck? Are you okay?" She asks.
"Been better." I said.
Ava storms out of the room. Kate already packing her bag.
"Listen, I know what I did was fucked up, I'm leaving." Damn, her eye looked bad.
Ava stroked towards her. I don't want her to do anything. Since Kate was leaving she didn't need to do anything else. Ava started pushing her telling her to fight back. Lana yells for Ava to stop but she doesn't listen. She keeps trying and goes up to her, pulling her arm back. Ava pushes her off, Lana stumbling back. I wanted to step in, but if I do and Ava calms down, that can give our feelings for each other away. But I don't want Ava to beat her ass. It's too late when two words give it all away.
"You think I'm just going to let you walk away after you did that to MY GIRL!?" Ava yells.
Oh no. Lana looks at her confused. Kate looks pist off now. This is going to get bad.
"Your girl!? The fuck!" Kate yells, them in each other's face. Ava doesn't even care what she just said.
Lana steps in,"Your girl?" She looks at me.
"Whatever, go call your ex Lana. You did say he's coming into town soon!" Ava says then brings her focus to Kate.
"You're a piece oh shit, you don't deserve to be with Dez. But yet just walking out of here isn't enough." Ava yells in her face.
Kate pushes her back and Ava swings at her. They start fighting. I felt stuck. I just wanted everyone to disappear. Kate and Ava are fighting, Lana is yelling for them to stop, and then there's me. I had to do something.
"Ava. Ava stop!" I yell while stepping in between them, I push her away from Kate. She tries to move around me. I put my hand on her face and bring her attention to me.
"You need to calm down." I look her in her eyes. I don't move or break eye contact.
"Calm down." She breathes heavily. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breathe. When I'm with her it feels like nothing else matters. It felt like it was just us in the room. She still looks mad but pulls herself together. She storms out of the room to outside, Lana following her.
