A week later early in the morning, as I woke up I received a link to a viral video, the title was 'the drunk wise president of Jeguk group found proposing Miss Lee' I opened the video and saw how in a party Jae got drunk and created a scene and confessed his feeling to his girlfriend, and admitted that he desperately wants to marry her as soon as possible.
Oh my god this drunk yard, what am I going to do about him, I was embarrassed as well as wanted to laugh hard, I had a smile when Emma entered the room
"Ohh you woke up so early"
"How could I dream when my reality is way much more beautiful, in all ways" she bent down and kissed my lips
"Hey come sit" I took her hand and made her sit "see what my best friend is doing alone in Seoul, she saw the video and laugh hard like anything
"Is this for real, my god it must be so embarrassing for you"
"Yea both ways, yea as a best friend as well as being president of my company"
"But I think it's kinda romantic right?"
"yea, I guess it's not a bad excuse, BTW is your day fully scheduled"
"is it a bad thing"
"it's an awful thing, who is gonna spent time with me today?"
"not sure, okay I am late, lets's have breakfast, and then ill leave for my classes"
"okay"
Emma left the house for work, even tho I liked when she was around but the house haunted me when I was alone here, I really wanna get rid of these plasters I guess 10 days more to go in my freedom I was even scared to walk on my own now. Just a patient thing, after getting a leg fractured.
I called Jae ho couple of times, but the viral video must have been stressful enough to handle.
Later that same day I decided to talk in my Washington office and ask them to send me updates on the office work and all current going projects.
That week went busy as I was pretty evolved with my office work.
Tho I had talked with Jae almost every day a couple of times but it was regarding work as he has taken up a huge project with Asian builders.
Just another morning I receive an email, I thought it was just any blueprint of the project we are about to start working on but actually, it was Jae ho and Easter Lee's wedding card. I had tears in my eyes watching the PDF. I called him that instant and the great guy didn't pick up my call.
Later he called me back,
"Hello"
"Are you really getting married? Like for real?"
"Yes, Sir"
"OMG, how did it happen?"
"Actually it all started with a viral video"
"I have seen it, but couldn't talk to you"
"I thought you didn't see it"
"Actually I got busy with work lately, I was about to talk to you but before I could I received your Marriage invitation"
"Actually what happened was Easter was mad at me that day, and believe me I wasn't sure why. Then I heard one of his friends decided to get married and the whole party had talked about her. And that time I thought I wasn't ready to be a married man now. Then we had a silly fight about some stuff. And she was so upset that I really thought she left the party, I got in with some colleagues and started drinking and I am not sure how I ended up so high when I saw Easter there I couldn't believe it as I thought she had left so, my immature drunk mind though, as I cannot live without her, what difference would it make if I marry her now or after 2-3 years.
So I took the mike in my hand and asked for everyone's attention
'When I was in college I fell in love with a beautiful girl, I was so young and had a whole life ahead of me and all I wanted was to spend the rest of my life with her. But sadly my dream was too expensive for my pocket. Then I fell in love again and got married and had a beautiful son, within no time I lost my wife in a car accident and became a single father. I use to consider being a single father as my full-time job. My son sweet Chan-young grew up beautifully man, but as the time passed I always wanted a partner, Easter Lee came into my life, and within a couple of months, I realized that I was again in love with my first love. And this time I knew I couldn't live my life without her. So I have finally decided to get down on one knee and confess my feelings to her. I love you Easter and would you please do the honor of marrying me' and before I could hear her answer I had already collapsed."
"What happened after that?"
"I woke up the next morning and Chan-young told me everything, the children actually made fun of me, that same night I arranged a dinner with Easter, tho I didn't call her. I fixed an appointment with her secretary.
I went there and properly arranged a romantic date, she wasn't angry at all she actually laughed at me and told me 'honey, I won't actually mind getting married to you' 'really'
And that's how we actually planned to get married"
"I will be there one week before the wedding"
"You're planning to bring Emma alone right?
"Of course"
"Now, I'll call you later"
"You're not the only busy one here"
I hung up the call.
I was really excited about this so I started looking for flight tickets but then it hit my mind that I should discuss it with Emma first. So I decided to text Emma and confirm when she will be free to return home.
I got a text back "I'll be free by 5 pm"
"See you at home"
I waited patiently, for the time being, I completed my office work.
When Emma came back she brought my favorite chocolate Waffles, and we ate them together. I asked
"Would you like to have a vacation with me?"
"Sure why not"
"So should I book tickets for Seoul"
"You startled me! Are we going to Seoul? Like for real?"
"Yea, My best friend is getting married"
"Jae ho is getting married, and I am his best man so I got to be there"
"I would love to go back to Seoul, but I am scared"
"Don't be scared, I am not going there to get fathers approval on you, and trust me we are just going there to attend his marriage nothing else"
"Don't you wish to live there again, it's your home after all"
"You know why we call a house home because we can live peacefully there with our loved ones. This house where we live right now I call it home because I can live peacefully here with you"
"Actually I wanted to tell you something"
"Yeah sure" I replied and she told me, I didn't believe my ears. What I just heard.
