His Memory

"Best friend tayo forever ha?"
"Pffftt. Walang forever !" I said. Napaka corny lang talaga ng best friend ko na ito.
"Walang forever but there's a lifetime and to prove it. I'm always here for you. Always"
"Baka mainlove ka na sa akin nyan." I said and I smirk.
"Pfftt. Best friend walang forever!" He said.
"Hey that's my line!" I said.
"Well kc! This is Philippines and this is a democratic country." He said while he is smiling.
I raise my one eyebrow and said "And anong connect?"
"Hahaha. What I'm trying to say is I don't care if it is your line." He said and he tease me.
"Yeah yeah whatever Aj! But I'm frequently sure that your a jerk" I said. And I laugh because of his expression.
"And I am really sure that you are also bitch like the others" he said. What ? Bitch ako ?? OK ! That explains a lot. And he laugh very very loud.
"Hey!"
"What?" He said habang pinipigilan nyang tumawa.
"I hate you!" Seryoso kong sinabi. And I left him in the swing.

Were on the playground right now. And no one is here except for us. Its Sunday.

"Hey come on kc ! I'm just kidding lang naman eh! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I'm sorry." Sabi niya.
"I don't care!" Sabi ko habang naglalakad ako ng mabilis. As in mabilis na mabilis. Takbo na nga ata eh.
"Kc! Look im very sorry!" He said.

I dont care ! Basta layuan nya ako ngayon ! Hanggang sa tumawid ako sa may kanto. Nagulat ako ng biglang narinig ko na parang may nabangga ng kotse. Paglingon ko. OH MY GOD!

"AJ!!!!" Bulalas ko. I immediately go at him.
"Holy Crap! Ms. Sorry! Ipasok nalang natin siya sa kotse at ipunta as hospital!" Sabi nung driver ng kotse. Na nakasagasa kay Aj.

"Aj! Please fight ok? You know how I really love you!" I said habang pumapatak luha ko."Kuya pakibilis." I said. Habang tuloy tuloy na pumapatak luha ko.

(after 5 minutes)
Aj is now in the ER
Tinawagan ko number ng bahay nila but no one is answering the phone.
After ng mga 5 ring finally may sumagot.

"Hello dela Vega's residence" sabi nung nasa other line.

And I think I know who answered my call her ate. And simula palang ng maging best friend ko si aj. She always keep her eye on me. She always watching my moves and to tell you all. She don't like me. And I don't know the reason why !

"Hello po. Si kc po ito."
"Oh yes! Kc! My brother's girl bestfriend! Why?"
"Kasi po na aksidente si aj. And he is in the hospital right now. Dito po sa hospital nyo."

After I said that. She ended the call.

After 5 minutes.

"Hi ma'am anika"
"Where is my brother?" Sabi niya dun as nurse.
"Nasa ER po."

Agad syang pumunta ngayon dito as kinalalagyan ko.

"How is he?" Pagmamataray niya sa akin.
"I don't know pa po."

After a while the doctor came out from ER.

"How is he doc?" Tanong ni ate anika na you can feel to her voice that she is so very nag aalala.
"He is fine ma'am but sad to tell you ma'am that he will suffered comatose."

Oh God! Napa hilamos nalang ako as muka ko at umalis pumunta ako as chapel ng hospital nila.

God please.. I really really need you today. Of course you know everything please help aj para makarecover siya. He is my only one best friend.
At bumuntong hininga ako ng malalim.

"Are you happy now?" Nagulat ako ng biglang sumulpot si Ate anika.

Para tong Ewan iiyak ba ako ng sobra pag masaya ako sa kalagayan ng bestfriend ko.

"I want you to leave my brother at wag na wag ka ng magpapakita sa kaniya. Ever! Umuwi ka na sa Germany! And I don't want you for my brother! so get lost!" She said.

"I know na sasabihin mo din Yan ate anika. Pero just let me see him for the last time and di ko na kayo gagambalahin." I said. Trying to be calm.

Gustong gusto ko na talagang umiyak! the fact is she don't like me ever since aj and I met, and we become bestfriend.

"Deal" she said.

After niyang sinabi yon. Nagmadali akong pumunta sa kwarto ni aj. Umupo sa tabi niya.

"Hey! Alex Jacob Dela Vega! My one and only best friend. I hoped makarecover ka agad. At makita ko na ang ngiti mo. Your smile that always cheering me up. Yung yakap mo na napaka init. At pag niyayakap mo ako I feel secured. I love you bestfriend. 5 years na tayong magbestfriend. Pero di mo parin alam na mahal na mahal kita. Higit pa sa pag kakaibigan. May pagka boplaks ka! Alam mo ba yun? Hahaha. I love you and I will always love you aj. Till we meet again." Sobrang bumuhos ang luha ko.

Ayoko siyang iwan. Ayoko. Anong magagawa ko? Wala naman. Ms. Anika Dela Vega is too powerful para kalabanin ko.
I kissed aj sa noo niya.
Sinuot ko sakanya yung kwintas ko na ang design ay infinity na naka may nakalagay doon na.

"Best friend forever."

At lumabas na ako ng kwarto niya. Paglabas ko I saw ate anika.

"Naischedule ko na flight mo. Mamayang 9 na ang flight mo. ako na nagbayad ng ticket, Nacontact ko na rin mom mo sa Germany. Sinabi ko na babalik ka na dun and your staying there for good. And I think she is happy" sabi ni ate anika.

"Sige po. Punta na po ako ng bahay to pack up my things" sabi ko habang nakayuko ako.

"You really have too. Its 7:00 na in the evening. Ako na mag aasikaso sa papeles mo. Don't worry I can handle it. Kunin mo na Lahat Lahat ng gamit mo sa bahay niyo. Para wala ka ng rason para bumalik pa dito."

"Sige po. At umalis na ako."

"Hey! Kc! Ingat ka." She said na halatang masayang masaya siya sa nangyari.
I smile bitterly sa kanya.

Andito na ako ngayon sa loob ng eroplano.
And now I'm leaving Philippines for the first time. And I'm leaving aj. My one and only Bestfriend.
