"Jungkook!" He woke up to a screaming sound from the bathroom
This idiot left half of Taehyung's neck bruised. He has been trying to hide it with concealer for almost half an hour now and nothing was working.
Jungkook came scrambling to the bathroom. "What happened?'
"My neck is what happened. Do you see this? Nothing is working to hide it. I am screwed."
"Just wear one of your turtlenecks. It'll be fine. Don't worry, baby."
"Ugh." Taehyung whined.
Taehyung and Jungkook changed into sweats with the older wearing a turtleneck instead of a t-shirt. He was still quite grouchy about having to wear a turtleneck to practice where they all will get super sweaty.
Jungkook kissed Tae's cheek before they both left Jungkook's partition room. Tae smiled at that and they both went ahead to the kitchen to get breakfast.
After eating, all the guys headed to the BigHit building to start rehersing for their upcoming shows. By the end of practice, Taehyung was feeling so hot that he couldn't keep the turtleneck on any longer. He took it off in front of everyone. No one said a word until Bang PD walked in.
"Taehyung. I know I asked you to find a girlfriend but what were you thinking with that mess on your neck." Bang PD sighed.
"Sorry, Boss. I'll be more careful next time." Taehyung replied giving a side eye to Jungkook who just giggled.
"Anyway, who's the girl?" Bang PD asked.
"Do I have to tell you?" Taehyung replied a little nervous as he had no idea whose name to take.
"Remember, you're under my payroll. So, no matter what happens to you, I get to know first."
"It's... Joy from Red Velvet." Taehyung stuttered. Yeah he knew Rose and the other girls from Red Velvet but how was he going to pull off fake dating one of them?
Okay so a little bit of backstory on Tae and Joy's strange friendship.
She used to train with BigHit before she went and joined SMTown. They knew each other mostly because Joy was in love with him and would not stop sending him weird letters and chocolates every single day. Fake dating her would be a nightmare because she wouldn't agree to it being fake. And then there was the bit about Jungkook fuming in the background at hearing Joy's name.
What has Tae gotten himself into?
"She's pretty. Helps us keep up your straight image. I'll talk to SM and make things official via a press release." With that, Bang PD left.
Shit shit shit shit shit.
What was Tae going to do now? If Joy thought that he was even remotely interested, she wouldn't leave him alone. If he was honest to her about Jungkook, she might tell everyone and ruin their careers for good. He had to call Joy NOW or everything was going to fall to shit.
Everyone was packing up and getting ready to leave while Tae was just frozen in the same spot. Thinking. Jungkook walked up to him and asked, "Joy? Really?"
"I could not think of anyone else. We're so screwed, Jungkook."
"Just go to Bang PD and tell him it's someone else. And that you panicked and blabbered the first name that came into your head."
"He will ask me who it is again then."
"Tell him it is someone not famous. He won't push you then."
"Okay okay." With that, Tae threw on his turtleneck and ran after Bang PD and told him.
He tapped Bang PD's shoulder and started "So, the thing about Joy is kind of not true..."
"Then who is it?" Bang PD asked again, unfazed.
"It is not someone famous. She's a friend from high school."
"Can I get a name?"
"I don't think she will be very comfortable being in the spotlight."
"Well, then I'll have a conversation with SM and you can start fake dating Joy. It doesn't matter if it's real or not. We just need a cover story for the rumors. I am going to leave and figure that out now." And with that Bang PD left.
...
Everyone went back to their house and took a shower to wash off the exhausting workout they had endured all day.
It was around 8:30 PM when they all sat together for dinner and Taehyung's phone started ringing.
He got up to go get it from his room. He answered the call without looking and heard, "Oppa!"
