|Time Skip - Two months later|

{Lucifer Pov}

It's been two months since I fell off the cliff, met Silvia, and awakened the ability to see aether. And in these two months, I've gotten to know both Sylvia and Sylvie pretty well, Sylvia in direct contrast to her looks, is a very kind person and even teaches me about aether. While Sylvie is an innocent, over protective, trigger happy glutton, who likes to hunt mana beasts daily.

And after these two months I started to adapt a routine, where I almost get killed trying to wake up Sylvie, followed by getting taught about aether by Sylvia, then I'll go explore the surroundings with Sylvie, and finally I'll work on hand to hand combat training. And although they're not my real family, I've started to treat both Sylvia and Sylvie as if they were. If it were up to me then this routine would never change, and I'd just say with them.

But sadly... it wasn't.

|Time Skip - Sylvia's Death|

'Sylvia and Sylvie are dragons?' I thought as I looked at Sylvia's full form. 'No, that doesn't change anything. They're still my family that protected me.' After reaching that conclusion I turned back to Sylvia who was shielding both me and an unconscious Sylvie from the sight of a horned demon.

"Lucifer, it seems this is where I'm going to meet my end... but before I die can you please promise to protect Sylvie?" She asked, as the world came to a stop and colors inverted. I knew that even if we weren't attacked by the demon she would've died within the month because of her wound, but it still hurt.

I looked at her with determination and nodded, she then started to dissolve into golden lights and said, "I'm going to use my remaining power to transport you and my daughter to somewhere safe. After that I'm going to use my life force to reshape your body so it can handle aether. Your new body won't be that of a dragon, but one suited to control and harmonize with aether. You'll be a new race of deity, with the ability to command aether, the building blocks of the world itself. This is the last gift I can give you, and know that I'll always love you." as she finished her words the golden lights gathered around use and transported us to an open plain.

I was about to try and find out where we were when the remaining light entered my body, causing me extreme pain. It felt as though my body was being destroyed and reconstructed over and over again. I could feel my cells dying and my body regenerating, I screamed in pure agony before finally losing consciousness.

.....

I groggily opened my eyes, only to see Sylvie crying over me and burring her face in my shirt. I lifted my hand and placed it on her head and asked, "Hey Sylv, are you okay?" In response she hugged me tighter and said, "I thought you died too."

I kept on patting her head to calm her down and said, "But I'm not dead right, don't worry I wont ever leave you." She nodded, and looked at me with tears still in her eyes and said, "You better not, if you do I'll kill you." I just chuckled and continued to pat her head until she fell asleep.

I then looked around to try and find out where we were, for about 100 meters around us there were just plains followed by a mountain on one side, and a forest on the other. 'Are we in the Beast Glades?' I asked myself, although I hadn't been to the Beast glades myself I was familiar with what sort of terrain it held.

'I guess this is for the best. It's away from any of the three races and is a place where we can train.' I thought before looking down at the sleeping Sylvie.  'I guess I should get some sleep too.' I thought before laying down next to her and falling asleep.

|Time Skip - 1 and a half years| (He and Sylvie are 6 now.)

It's been about 18 months since Sylvia's death and we have yet to leave the Beast Glades. It's not that we can't leave, it's just the fact that I resent all of humanity, and Sylvie still hasn't fully gotten over her mothers death.

In the time we spent in the Beast Glades Sylvie has reached the level of a high S-rank and low SS-rank mana beast, while I have started to develop an edict by combining the properties of Creation and Destruction

My body is made up of about 99% aether, which allows me to gain insight into never seen before edicts, and two of the edicts I'm most compatible with are Creation and Destruction. The reason I want to combine them is to nullify the effects they have on my mind while there in use. Whenever I use Destruction I get the urge to destroy everything in sight, while when I use Creation I get the urge to Fix the things I find flaws in. The down side of Destruction is pretty self explanatory, and while at first the mental change I face when using creation doesn't seem that bad it might be worse. Take humans for example, I find them very flawed, so when I'm using creation I'll experiment with them turning them into puppets with little to no emotions.

The edict that I'm developing will allow me to manipulate all material objects around me, allowing me to replicate magic in a sense. The way my magic will work is instead of conjuring something with mana, I'll create it with aether. Take fire for example, a normal mage would use mana to fuel a flame, while I would create the fire along with the gases needed to maintain it. Also once I reach a high enough level, I can just substitute mana with aether to copy any mana based spell. Finally using the power of destruction I could learn to nullify mana based spells given enough time.

'Only a little bit longer until it's completed.' I thought as I got up from my meditative position. Currently, I was in an empty room that allowed no light to enter, specifically built for meditation. After stretching a bit, I exited the room and made my way to my bedroom to get changed, 'I should probably start training myself in swordsmanship.' I thought, thinking about how much more effective it would be to use a weapon in combat instead of just using hand to hand.

As I was still in thought I opened my door only to be met by a certain dragon princess sleeping on my bed. 'Doesn't she have a bed of her own?' I mentally asked myself for the 564 time since we moved to the Beast Glades. Ever since we moved here, Sylvie has developed a sort of separation anxiety, where she doesn't like to be too far away from me. She also was VERY over protective when it came to my safety, likely because of her mothers death.

I slowly approached my sleeping friend and tapped her on the shoulder in an attempt to wake her up, "Get up Sylv, it's time to hunt for dinner." I said in a soft voice. Sylvie's body shook slightly, before she slowly opened her bright golden eyes and looked up to me. "You wanna tell me why you are in my bed again?" I asked in a teasing tone. The only response I got was a slight reddish tint on her cheeks and a lousy attempt to bury her self in the blanket she was using.

'Cute' I thought, looking at my friend. "You're a meany." she said with a pout before finally getting out of bed. 'I wonder what we should hunt today?' I thought as we left the house.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(A/n) I'm planning on doing a lot of time skips until Xyrus academy so get prepared for that. Also I'm planning on doing a Leywin Pov, to show how they're holding up on their end.

Finally I thought I'd make this clear, as of now I have no plans to make Lucifer forgive the Leywins, and he will get revenge.

That's all for now.
