(A/n This is sort of just a transition chapter with no real progression, but enjoy none the less.)

"Hello Alex, I'd like you to be the new professor of the practical mana manipulation class~"

Looking at the old hag in front of me, I just shook my head.

"No."

She seemed to have expected my answer as she started to pull out cards that she'd kept hidden.

"As long as you go along with my request I'll allow you to attend higher level classes and I'll be paying you for your work."

I raised an eyebrow.

"How much do you pay?"

She smirked.

"Normally it's around 10-90 silver a day, but I'll give you 1 gold for each period you teach."

Thinking about her words for a second I nodded.

"I'll teach the 1st period class, but it's not on my head if there are a few casualties."

Her brow twitch slightly, but she nodded non the less, knowing that I was an emitter deviant. And after that was settled she pulled out a few papers and said.

"From now on you no longer have to attend lower leveled courses, and you'll be attending 'Advanced Accelerated Artificing', 'Team Fighting Mechanics', and 'Advanced Alchemy'."

Taking the papers I prepared to leave, but turned back to her.

"Sylvie will be attending with me."

She smiled.

"She's already registered."

"Good."

And with that, I left.

...

I cracked my back as I walked out of the Artificing class.

"That was so boring!"

Sylvie shouted next to me. If even I had a hard time sitting through that guy's life story, I'd imagine she was about to level the school with some half-assed experimental spell.

"Don't worry, our next period is a fighting based class, so it should be less boring."

She just turned her head in a pout.

"HM!"

'Why is she mad at me?'

I asked myself confused, as we arrived at the Team Fighting Mechanics training grounds.

"It's fairly impressive."

I said curtly, getting a small nod from Sylvie as we made our way to the center of the grounds where a small group was gathering. Most of the people gathered were 5th and 6th years, as even among the upper-classes Team Fighting Mechanics was one of the more advanced one's where the people who were weak were likely to get their asses handed to them.
