In academy jail cell

"I accept all the charges against me.. it was only me no one else was involved with me"

"Switch of the camera... I hope you will not turn back on your words in the court."

Outside the cell

"Did she give the confession...??"

"Yes.."

"Are you fine"

"I guess"

"Karan I know this is hard on you... it is difficult for all of us but it is the hardest for you. She was your girlfriend you were the close to her... she was a part of your life... and she comes out to be a part of terrorist squad..  Monami.."

"Abiha ... Abiha Agnar.." Karan corrects Faizi

"Sorry.. it was slip of tongue.."

"It is fine.. you need not be sorry... she has confessed her crimes but she is not accepting which organisation, anti-national element was involves with her... this is strange because most terrorist organisations take pride in accepting what they do..."

"May be this a new gang or organisation rising up and she is not taking their name because she has failed in her mission.."

"I don't know but I feel she has connections with Lewthwaite organisation... it has risen up fast and don't take credits for their actions.. yet they have a name.."

"I will look into the matter..."

"Thank you... I will go and take rest..  then I will make a report... The legal team is also coming in the evening ... and then..."

"Then you have a meeting with Abiha ... she requested for your time and you decided to give her."

"I need some answers"

"They will prick you, you don't need them .. you will blame yourself for your entire life... I know you Karan..."

"And if I don't seek them...will I then not blame myself...??

"Karan..."

"I deserve answers Faizi I do deserve answers.. I deserve to know why she faked love with me... that ex boyfriend story.. was it just a build up.. and was she shot for real or the hospital nights I spent in pain all went vain.. why did she play with my feelings... she never made promises to me and I thought she just wants time.. I was ready to give her time.... she didn't let me... leave it... I just need to take some rest.. I have already wasted a lot of time on her some more will not make a difference"

Faizi nods a little and forces a smile as Karan leaves. He knows how heartbroken his friend is. He knows he was serious for her and had imagined his future with her... he knows because though as a joke Karan used to talk about his marriage with Monami. Faizi knows it would have been easier for Karan to forgive her, unlove her and not hate her had she cheated on him, it would have been a lot more easier for him to forget her, erase her from his memories... but she didn't cheat on hum..  she cheated with what he loves the most... his mother nation, she was disloyal to the country and Karan hates traitors.

Faizi is worried for Karan but he knows Karan has to fight this battle alone ... he can only watch him fight it and support him time to time but he can not fight the battle for him...

Karan reaches his room and a drop of tear escapes his eye...

"I have already wasted a lot of time for you... and I am going to waste more seeking my answers because according to me it will be an investment to save my time I will waste finding answers only you could answers from myself...but I am not wasting my tears and time crying for you... I hate you as much as I should.. with all my heart..." Karan speaks to his reflection in the mirror.

Raising his hand at his reflection "Why did you invest your time in her.. you should have been more careful... see yourself.. you are scarred now and there is no healing... You chose these scars... although before these scars could become deep wounds you gained your senses... but these scars they will stay here forever reminding you of your mistake.. "

Faizi plays Monami's confession video on the white screen in front of the entire academy on instructions of Batra Sir...

"So here is her confession... Hope all those people who sympathised with her and thought she was wrongly caught ... have got their answers.. also I don't want the topic of Monami  who is actually Abiha to be picked in front of Karan... he has already suffered enough because of her... I don't want him to suffer more" Faizi announces to the cadets and then leaves.

As soon as Faizi leaves a group of cadets is formed and they start discussing the matter.

"I feel bad for Karan Sir he actually loved her and she did this to him... Everyone here knows how much Karan Sir loves the country" Suman starts the conversation.

"Yes.. and today Karan Sir proved his love for the country by keeping his country above a girl he loved..." another cadet speaks.

"We should take lessons from his personal life on how to be patriotic, how to love the country so much that you keep it above your personal benifits, love and life" Bala joins in.

"I hope Karan Sir finds a new girl, a girl who loves him with all his heart it will be good for him .. and make him believe in love once again.."

"Don't you cadets have classes that you are standing here and gossiping" one of the trainer scolds the cadets as he notices the group. The cadets disperse to their respective classes.

I was not sure on how to continue the story with this idea in my mind hence this leap. How this was found out will be continued in flashbacks as Karan and Monami are going to meet in the next chapter.

I know the chapter was traumatizing ... it was even for me while writing but more trauma upcoming.

As I have said earlier this is not a sweet simple love story and this was one of the reasons you never got insight of Monami's POV.
