Zephyra Audaz

A grey-haired bald man, who was seemingly in his fifties sat on the other side of the wooden round table, reciting a deal that I couldn't care less about. He introduced himself as, Wan Grim and he was a part of the Grim family, which was formerly one of the most prevailing Mafia's families in America but fell out of power, due to poor management it had. And now he was barking in front of us, some partnership-alliance-business rubbish.

My eyes drifted to My father, Elias Audaz, who was sitting beside me with his hand against his chin, clearly with the same careless expression residing on his face... I look over to Ezlyn who was sitting beside me, looking as if he was some history instructor, that bored her.

He went on and on about how great we, the Audaz's, were and how anybody would give everything to join our alliance. I mean he was right, ofcourse but we knew the reason, he would say something like that was just to flatter us.

Mr Levin, who was my father's loyal man was sitting beside my father looking through the files of deals and business statements, for he might have also found the deal very not so- interesting. Vera sat next to Ezlyn, with a scowl on her face against the current deal he was narrating. She twirled her lavender hair with her fingers, as she does when she's annoyed.

His deal was total crap, considering the fact that he mentioned women trade among them.

Why the fuck do men...

A side of me just wanted to carve his eyes out for the words he used to describe them. According to him, they were all minors and they had 78 of them in chains. Sickening...

Our family does not engage in women trade, as we don't believe women are objects and the fact that all generations of our men were loyal to their lady. yes, something that makes me respect them even more.

He called them whores and all sorts of vulgar terms which made me tighten the grip on the gun behind my coat. His deal was to sell them to us when we don't engage in such businesses, just because the profits are higher for such shitty businesses doesn't mean we should do it. And I am pretty sure My father decided to hear him out only to not disrespect him which he clearly deserves.

''......And so, I believe an alliance between the Grims and the Audaz Family would cause all the other mafia's to tremble in fear and it will be truly one of a kind.'' He concludes his deal with a smile, revealing one of his golden tooth, Ew.

''I don't mean to be offensive Mr Wan, but as far as I have heard we already make other mafias tremble in fear and ARE truly one of a kind,'' I address with a smug smile causing his ugly smile to dull away. My father looks over at me, with his face full of pride. ''..and I don't really see where this alliance is going to make a difference? you get me, Mr Wan!'' I continue. The rest of the people at the table slowly began grinning at my words.

'Ms. Audaz, you use your words quite intelligently I must say- but as I already told you, The deal is, 78 minors and I am sure you'd know that the women's trade is one of the most profitable trades and also the demands for minors keep growing, It could increase your earnings. And a warehouse in America to store your commodities. and I believe this is one of the most efficient deals you've ever received''

''Mr. Wan Grim..We don't deal with women. And that warehouse of yours isn't of any use to us since we have enough. sir'' I spoke again clicking my tongue.

''I agree with Zeph'' Ezlyn talked next causing all eyes at the table to turn towards her. '' Yea- Zeph is right'' Vera stated as she stared at Mr Grim. The table fell silent and the only noise heard was father tapping the pen against the table.
