Just another night I'll be spending by the lake

Just another night I'll be spending by the lake. Weeping.

"Diana, You knew better than to wear that!"

"Ugh! You gained more weight?!"

"What rest?! Your concert wasn't even as good as I expected!"

"Just drop out already! Concentrate on writing better songs! Or you'll remain a flop listed singer!"

"Have you seen those models?! They have such bright and pretty skin! You're always gonna let me down, aren't you?!"

I was on tour in Brussels. It's the last day and I'll be taking a flight back to New York tomorrow morning. It was a shitty life. All I ever gained was Mum's complaints. She was impossible to please.

My whole childhood went by attending beauty pageants and winning them. I'd be terrified to death even by the thought of losing. Mum would've hung me alive.

Now, I'm the newest superstar in the industry. A singer, a model and I also did a few roles here and there in a few movies. A rising career just at the age of 21. But I didn't give up on college. I am suffering.

The suffering from all my exams, assignments, working on new albums, collaborations, World tours, concerts, fan meetings, award shows and so much more. And they still expect me to be emotionally strong?!

"A penny for your thoughts?"
I heard someone's charming-husky tone behind me. I quickly shook off my tears.

Abruptly standing up, I turned to encounter him in horror. Even though I calmed down as soon as my eyes fell on his Hazel coloured ones. Did they seem swollen and sleepy? His cheeks were flushed as well.

He seemed extremely familiar. But the darkness and his fallen bangs were making it hard for me to cooperate. Not gonna lie, I was a bit high myself which made it tougher.

"Aren't you...-" He shushed me before I could even malfunction his identity.
"Can't we...cut the introduction? I wanna...spend my time with a stranger...right now." He speaks with a tipsy tone, stepping a bit closer to me.

"Are you tipsy? Where are your managers and bodyguards?" I felt a bit concerned. I was pretty sure he was a celebrity as well, but not who exactly. He seemed to be swaying. I doubt if he'd be in the right state of mind.

"I didn't bring them along...It's suffocating." He wasn't wrong. No matter how enormously extraverted you are, at some point, being around people gets irritating.

"How about your phone? Perhaps you remember someone's number?"
He was about to trip on the ground and I rushed to support him by the shoulder.

Holy chicken nuggets, he is damn heavy. But his cologne is so strong and rich.
