Untold Story

Chapter 1

Evelyn pov:

"Bitch how dare you lie to me." with that, he gave a tight slap across my face and with the impact fell on the floor. "No, I am not lying to you, please stop hitting me, it's hurting."

I said while trying to get up but before I got up the man kicked on my shoulder and made me fall to the floor again and started kicking my stomach. I was screaming in pain "Now you are arguing with me it's hurting ha now see I will kill you today."

With that, he grabbed my hair and started dragging me to the bathroom, pushed me into the bathtub, and started choking me in the water. I was struggling and slowly losing my breath. I was about to die but then I woke up.

I woke up with sweat on my face and I sat in bed trying to breathe. It's feeling like someone is still choking me. I lay back and tried to relax in the sunlight. After a few minutes, my breathing became normal l drank some water went to the washroom, and washed my face.

When will this nightmare stop haunting me? I don't want to remember these memories. My phone started to rain. I left the washroom to pick up my phone and the screen showed my mom's name.

"Hi, mom."
 
"Hello, how is my daughter? Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, l sleep well."

"Liar you know lying to your mom is not good manners, you are seeing those nightmares again right."

"How are you so confident that I didn't  sleep well?"

"Did you hear your voice? It sounds like a zombie."

"Zombies can't talk by the way. Did you call me just to ask me if I slept well or not?"

"Ask your father, he has a high fever but is not ready to go to the doctor."

"What? Give the phone to Dad. I want to talk to him."

"Hello my daughter, how are you?"

"How I am is not important right now, what I'm listening to Mom you have a high fever and do not want to go to the doctor."
 
"Is just a minor fever. You know your mom gets scared of little things."

"No, I don't know. you will go to the doctor or I will come and take you to the doctor."

"No no, you don't have to come all the way here. I will go to the doctor. Happy."

"very much. Now I have to be ready for work. Call me if you need anything and take care bye."

"Bye, you also take care and don't work too much."

I cut the call and went to the washroom, did my morning routine, had my breakfast, and went to work.

When I entered the office I saw my colleagues.

"Good morning everyone."
 
"Good morning."

"Evelyn, the boss asks you in his cabin."

"Okay thank you."

Knock knock "May I come in."

"Come in."

"Did you ask for me, Boss?"

"Yes, sit down."

"I have work for you. You have to go to this village and investigate a well."

"Well."

"Yes, well of the people living around there saying that the ghost princess lives in the well."

"Ghost Princess no boss I am not going last time like this. You said someone saw a flying tree and when I went there to investigate I got to know he was drunk when he saw that I was not going until I got the solid evidence."
