Reena's choice of staying back was acknowledged and Rocky left alone. And she had never been this miserable. With every sound, every footstep, every break of glass, she thought he had returned, and was disappointed.

"Bhabhi, missing Rocky bhai?" the kids laughed at her. She wanted to scream, tell them that she did actually miss him alot. But that would reach his ears and boost his ego.
Instead, she shrugged, pretending everything was okay, and walked towards the kitchen to grab a few things.
"Come on. What happened that day? You were acting weird...I mean really weird, not your usual self. Did something happen?" Lila tai nudged her and laughed nervously.
Reena just shook her head and turned away. Her heart hurt. She had fallen deeply in love with him. And now he was gone. The thought made her sad and angry. She wanted to hate him and be mad at him, but she couldn't bring herself to do anything but miss him. She wanted to see him so bad, and she had no idea why!
Her anger subsided after hours, but it was replaced by sadness. She couldn't think straight, and all she wanted to do was hide in a corner until she found peace, but the children were constantly pulling at her. She sighed as she saw a bunch of children sitting together on the grass near the firepit, laughing and playing. She walked towards them and sat down beside them.
"How is our favourite bhabhi doing?" one of the boys asked.
She smiled sweetly at them and hugged their chubby cheeks," I'm sorry I wasn't able to be here, your bhai exhausts me ."
"Oh, we understand. We're only babies bhabhi, we don't expect you to be the one to take care of us. Just take care of Rocky " they giggled and then ran off.

Reena bit her lip to stop from smiling like an idiot, knowing that they meant well.
After playing with the younger children all day, it was time for her to return back to her mansion.
As she was walking, she heard helicopter  blades over the mountain. It could only mean.. Rocky had returned . Reena stopped abruptly in her tracks, she felt sick and dizzy, she grabbed a rock on the road, leaning against it. When she came to, she realised that her whole body was shaking uncontrollably. And then, she ran, as fast as she could,  trying hard not to stumble or fall, and failing miserably, her feet getting stuck in mud.
When she finally reached the house, she saw the helicopter had landed and there stood Rocky, talking to Kasim chacha. Her heart raced, along with her feet.  She ran up towards him, and then stopped in her place as he turned around, a huge smile on his face.
'Did he miss me too?' she thought to herself, and he nodded and smiled at her warmly.
Kasim chacha spoke, "come, let's go"  and all the other men left. Rocky took her waist and pulled her closer, "Your heart says you missed me a lot", he smirked.   She punched his arm playfully and he laughed, "I missed you a lot too"
"Let's go inside. You're going to catch a cold" he said as he led her into the house.  The door slammed shut and she immediately started coughing and wheezing loudly. Her face was red and tears of pain streamed down her face as she lay on the floor.
"You stupid girl." He picked her up and took her straight into the bedroom. Then he laid her on the bed.
"I told you I wouldn't leave you behind!" he roared and started pacing angrily, "why won' you listen to me? Why are you so stubborn" he shouted. His fists were clenched tightly.
"Calm down, . Just calm down. I'm sure I will be ok in a week" She croaked and tried to sit up but he held her hand, preventing her from moving. "Stay still!" He barked and glared at her.
"I'm sorry." she whimpered.
Then he softened his face, and rubbed her cheek gently with his thumb and placed soft kisses on both sides of her face. "If you had come with me, you would have been fine. I am sure you didn't take care of yourself and didn't allow others either. Why are you so stubborn, Sona?"
"I'm sorry" she whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks, "it's not what you think"
"Tell me" he demanded.
"I wanted to come with you" she said, choking on her words. She looked up at him, and he looked so frustrated and hurt.
"What?" he asked confused.
"I wanted to come with you...but I...didn't know..." she stuttered. Tears rolled freely down her cheeks.
"Why didn't you come with me?" His voice sounded angrier than she had ever heard. He stood up and left the room.
"Where are you going? Please stay with me" she cried quietly, grabbing fistfuls of the sheets.
"You're sick, you don't want me here anymore. " he yelled from the doorway.
"Please, Rocky". She called, tears streaming down her face. She knew if she continued pleading it wouldn' make any difference, but she couldn't help herself.
"You're right, I don't want you here anymore!"
With those words, he stormed out of the room slamming the door shut.
Doctors, nurses and some more paramedics rushed into her room within an hour, they made sure it was just flu and she only required some rest. Reena could see Rocky standing by the door, closely watching everything that went on, but he didn't step in. He was testing her patience once more.
They gave her a dose of some medication, but before she fell asleep, she could see Rocky turn around and leave, followed by another doctor. They stayed there a moment, discussing something.
The next morning, she woke up to find herself in the same position as last night. The room felt cold  and empty without him, but she managed to get herself out of bed and got dressed again, despite feeling weak and tired. It was already lunchtime and she decided to try and meet the kids in the dining area. It seemed like the kids were already fed and it was just Rocky, sitting alone in the huge dining hall, with all kinds of food in front of him and yet, his plate empty.
She took a plate and started filling it, then besides him, he looked at her in disbelief. She took a piece of bread and dipped it in curry then brought it close to his mouth.
"Eat" she demanded. He stared at her blankly and then put his finger into his ear.
"Are you deaf?" she snapped.
He blinked his eyes and took the food from her hand. He shoved it in his mouth and chewed slowly. As she watched him eat, she felt something burning inside her chest. It was painful and strange. It was familiar...and it was frightening.
After the first few bites, he seemed to become aware of it, because he began staring at her with widened eyes. He didn't say a word, he just stared and stared and stared, and when the second bite went in, his gaze became even more intense. He swallowed thickly and then took in a deep breath. She knew he hadn't eaten in a while. He had looked hungry, yes, but never like this. Something was eating at him, she could feel it...but she didn't know exactly what.
Then suddenly, without warning, he started laughing maniacally. It was so sudden that Reena jumped in shock. He kept laughing uncontrollably, clutching his stomach and falling out of his chair.
"What are you laughing at?" She screamed angrily.
He raised his head and locked eyes with her. For a few moments they stared at each other, and then they both burst into laughter again. After a minute, Reena regained control of herself and she looked at him. A small smile played on her lips. Her eyes sparkled with happiness.
"Oh my dear Sona", he cupped her face, "till when are you going to play this game? We both know how much you love me. Just accept it and we can get married, it is getting harder everyday to stay away from you"  he said as he brushed a strand of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear softly.
His hands trembled slightly.
She leaned forward and kissed him, taking hold of his hands as she did so.
He pulled away from the kiss and looked at her intensely.
" Tell me that you love me"  he demanded.
She hesitated, looking down.
"Tell me now". His voice grew louder by the minute as he spoke.
She pushed him away and got up, rushing out of the dining hall and running back to her room. She closed the door and locked it.  She breathed heavily, closing her eyes. Her heart raced as she hugged a pillow tightly to her chest. Then she opened her eyes and stared at the large window that faced the garden. She gazed through it and spotted the big blue sky. She breathed in deeply. It felt like home. Her home, her kingdom, her kgf.
