The Dimension Displacer sat in the middle of a massive, dark room. A bridge led to the center of the machine, which was the only part illuminated. Andy, Kelly and Gary stepped into the room of the Dimension Displacer, looking at the machine.
"What's the limit of this thing?" Andy asked, admiring the technology.
"We've never tests its true limits, but it can send at least ten people through at a time." Gary explained. "I'm sure it could transport more, but I wouldn't put through more than twenty."
"That's not enough." Kelly stated. "We'll be transporting billions of people."
"Liam's portal gun, however, opens a permanent portal that can support as many people as we need." Andy continued. "The portals have a small diameter, but I'm sure if we combine the power of the Displacer with his gun, we can open a portal a few kilometers in diameter."
"From there, I suppose we just gotta round everyone up and have them go through." Kelly added.
"Now, that sounds simple." Andy started.
"Andy, I think you have a bit too much faith." Kelly said, looking at him.
Andy continued looking at the Displacer, thinking.
"We have less than a week to, not only create this machine, but actually transport everyone, too."
"What other choice do we have?" Andy asked, still admiring the machine. "I'm not letting people get killed over something like this."
"So?" Kelly began. "How do you propose we pull this off?"
Andy began typing on his metallic arm. He opened blueprints on his arm, for both the Displacer and the Portal Gun, investigating both.
"You're not thinking big enough, Kel." Andy said. "I've overcome challenges in the past..."
"Yeah, and so have I," Kelly cut him off. "But this? We didn't even know a dimension collision was a real thing until a few hours ago."
"What happened to optimistic Kelly from the meeting?" Andy asked, still typing on his arm.
"When you've worked as a leader for this long, you learn to just put on a brave face in front of your agents." Kelly explained, leaning on the railing by the bridge.
Andy chuckled. "No kidding."
"I GOT IT!" Liam shouted, standing up from his chair and throwing his empty bottle of whiskey on the floor.
"I'll get the broom." Jack said, walking out of the lab.
"Got what?" Daphne asked. "You haven't really been keeping us in the loop of your... calculations."
"I've tracked down a strong enough power source." Liam explained. "It'll mean we have to leave this dimension to find it, but what's another few rifts in the name of saving a universe?"
Jack walked back in with the broom, sweeping the mess.
"What is this power source you speak of?" Daphne questioned.
"The core of a destroyed planet." Liam said casually, typing into his portal gun.
"Huh?" Jack asked, still sweeping.
"Man made planet in another dimension." Liam replied. "It's core was this massive power source- no clue what it's made from, but it powered a fucking planet."
"The planet was destroyed, are we sure this source is safe?" Jack asked Liam.
"Fuck if I know." Liam replied. "All I know is this planet got destroyed, but the power source is still there. And I plan to take it."
Liam aimed his portal gun and fired a portal, opening a rift to the dimension.
"I don't like this, Liam." Daphne said cautiously.
"I don't give a shit." Liam replied, stepping through the portal.
Jack dumped the remaining glass into the garbage, before walking over to the portal and walking through.
"Are you fuckin' coming?" Liam asked Daphne.
"I suppose you leave me with few choices..." Daphne replied, levitating through the portal.
The portal closed behind them once they went through.
"STOP THE CAR STOP THE CAR!" Violet shouted in distress.
Blue slammed on the brakes, looking back at Violet. "WHAT? WHAT?"
"COFFEE!" Violet replied, opening her door and running out.
"Huh?"
"We passed a Starbucks..." Icy said.
"Fuck, I'm in." Pink stated, getting out of the car, following Violet.
"Are you joking right now?" Blue asked, looking at them through his window.
"Did you really think this wouldn't happen?" Icy asked Blue.
"I expected it, sadly..." Blue responded. "I was just hoping it wouldn't happen."
Blue drove the car into a parking spot, before the two agents stepped out of the car and followed Violet and Pink into the Starbucks. Upon stepping into the Starbucks, Violet already was pointing a gun at the barista, while Pink had tied up multiple customers, and was in the process of tying someone else up.
"IT'S BEEN LIKE TEN SECONDS!" Blue shouted. "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN MANAGE THIS? WHERE DID THE ROPE COME FROM?"
"Portal." Pink replied, still tying someone up.
"I don't got any FUCKIN' MONEY!" Violet shouted at the barista. "BUT I DO HAVE A GUN!"
"VIOLET!" Icy shouted, taking the gun from her hand.
"WHAT?" Violet shouted back, pointing a finger gun at Icy.
"Why? Just... why?" Icy asked, sounding somewhat genuine.
"The barista gave her sass, she pulled a gun, and obviously we can't have witnesses," Pink explained, nodding her head towards the hostages.
"We're heroes." Violet added. "We can't have people seeing us pull guns on innocents."
"THEN DON'T PULL GUN ON INNOCENTS!" Blue yelled.
"Untie them, now, you guys." Icy ordered.
"You're no fun." Violet replied, walking over to Pink, helping her untie the hostages.
Blue pulled out his EDG badge, showing it to the barista and the customers. "Sorry, everyone, this won't happen again. I'll pay for the damages, and drinks are on me."
Blue handed his credit card to the barista.
"Look at Mista Money Man over here!" Violet exclaimed, looking at Blue's chest in specific.
"I can't believe you guys." Icy sighed, sitting down in a chair.
"I can." Pink replied. "Listen, I don't support what Violet did, but I'm not gonna leave her hanging."
"Unbelievable." Blue said, disappointed.
