chapter 3

~In the middle of the night~

Tenma's POV

I wake up in the middle of the night to practice my magic so I could get stronger. I get my flower pot with some soil in it and some seeds that are from my favorite flower.

I placed the seeds at the flower pot and concentrated to the flower seeds to grow, and after a little minutes I chanted the spell.

"Element of nature, I call upon you, make this seeds sprout and grow, like the healthy plants that I see!"

A light comes out from my hands and I saw that the spell worked, not like my other tries from my past that when I did this spell I burned the seeds into crisps causing Fei to yell at me while Kirino would just laugh.

I celebrated silently from my successful spell but I also make sure that I didn't disturb our neighbors.

I grabbed my spell book and looked at some spells that caught my interest.

"Let's see... Explosion spell? No, that's too distractive. Weapon equip spell? No, I might accidentally slice the house...Aha! There it is changing appearance spell! Let's see.... Hm...
Let's try this one."

"I call upon all of the elements, change my appearance as I please, turn me into a cat that gives me the ability to run fast, sharp eyesight, and good reflex!"

A light surround me and I noticed that everything is looked bigger, I then look at my hands or should I say paws making me release that the spell totally worked.

"It totally worked! Oh my gosh! Now let's see how to turn back to myself." I looked back at me book and read the back to normal spell. "To turn back to your normal self, you must chant this following spell, though there is a side effect to it, it depends to what you turned into. For example an animal, the animals that had ears and tails, the ears and tails will still be remaining in about a minute." I finished reading and I don't care of the side effect so I chanted the spell and I turned back to my human self, though as the book said she have a cat ears and tail.

"This feels so weird *yawn* I think I'm going back to sleep now."

(Next day)

Third POV

After Tenma's class is over, he (she) is now currently on his (her) was to the soccer field, when he (she) arrived, he (she) noticed that he (she) was the first one to arrive.

So he (she) took out his (her) favorite book and put on his (her) reading glasses and begin to read until his (her) teammates/friends would arrive.

A minute later his (her) teammates/friends have arrived, while all of them are waiting for their coach to arrive, kirino is the first person to spot Tenma.

"Hey! Tenma! What are you reading there?" Kirino asked as he (she) took a glance to what is Tenma's reading.

"Oh, it's just my favorite book 'the tale of the brave princess and her loyal knight.'" Tenma answered. "Oh~ I also really love that story too! I wish I had a knight in shining armor that is kind like in the book." Kirino stated while daydreaming.

"Yeah... Hey, Kirino-senpai, what part of the story do you like the most?" Tenma asked in curiosity.

"Hmm....the part when the princess is under a spell and put her to a mirror and the knight do all the challenges to find her even if it takes her life." Kirino replied as they keep talking about the book, they didn't notice the others are looking at them.

"Hey guys, when did those two got too close?" Kariya asked as he saw them talking.

"Aren't they like that everyday?" Tetsukado questioned

"Actually, no, I just saw them like that yesterday and today." Shinsuke replied as the Raimon team agreed to Shinsuke.

They didn't know that Tenma and Kirino really are close to each other, they just disguised themselves as a boy so that the enemies won't know where they are.

Suddenly, Tenma felt like he'd (she'd) been watched by someone but he (she) just shrugged it off, thinking that it was just maybe his (her) teammates/friends, but boy, how wrong he (she) was, there really is a enemy watching him (her) the whole time and they are just waiting for when is the right time to strike.
