Chapter 1

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP...

"Time to wake up!" A robotic voice exclaimed.

"Uurghm..." A familiar raven-haired teen groaned.

"C'mon Ash..we gotta...get up.." A kid with short black hair and red streaks tiredly said. "5 more minutesss...." Ash yelled back. "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP...Time to wake-" The rotom phone wake-up alarm was cut-off by Goh absently hitting the 'off' button. "Ash, I don't wanna get hit with yamper's spark, and I'm sure neither do you." Goh said as he got out of bed and yawned. As if on cue, yamper barked from the other room 3 times. "Heh, yeah youre right about that.." Ash agreed with Goh. The two boys got dressed and brushed their teeth, then went to eat breakfast. Both of them wolfed down their food along with Ash's bud pikachu, occasionally pausing to get a drink of water. "Took you two long enough." A attractive female with pink hair held in a braid said, the Eevee eating next to her nodding in agreement. Just then, Professor Cerise appeared. "Good morning!" the professor said. "Morning Dad/professer Cerise!" the trio replied happily. "So, Ash and Goh, how do you feel about investigating Mega-evolution?" Professor Cerise asked the two boys. "Isn't Mega-evolution a phenomenon where a certain pokemon temporarily," he made finger quotes, "'evolve', and get stronger and stuff?" Goh asked. "In a way, yes, that is a way to sum it up" Professor Cerise replied with a slight chuckle. "Yeah, some pokemon can Mega-evolve in two or three different ways, called Mega-evolution x, Mega-evolution y, and Mega-evolution z. For example, Charizard has a Mega-evolution x and a Mega-evolution y. In one, Charizard is black and has blue flames, while the other one kinda looks like if Charizard had another evolution." Ash added, to which he got multiple odd stares. "...what??" Ash asked, confused on why they were looking at him oddly. "Sorry, it's just..." Goh mummured. "...I've never heard you say something that smart before." Ash pouted at this. The pink haired girl, Chloe, attempted to stifle a laugh, but obviously failed. Soon, all for of them were laughing, including their pokemon. Professor Cerise wiped a tear away and turned to Ash. "Yes Ash, that is correct. But how do you know so much about Mega-evolution?" Ash smiled at this, then pikachu called out happily and jumped on his sholder. "Well, I travelled in Kalos aswell!" Ash replied joyfully while rubbing under his nose. "I should've guessed." Goh chuckled , rubbing the back of his neck. As Chloe became lost in thought thinking about Mega-evolution, Goh tapped her shoulder gently. "Don't you have school?" Goh asked Chloe. In response, Chloe made a panicked squeak and got up to leave. "Thanks Goh, I almost forgot!" she said as she started cleaning her and Eevee's dishes. "Heh, and you yell at US for not waking up" Ash jokingly chuckled. "Well, that's a different story. Bye dad! Bye you two!" Chloe replied as she started walking out the door. "Bye!" the trio replied. Goh and Ash then turned to professor Cerise. "When are we leaving for Kalos?" Ash asked excitedly. "Ash, calm down, first we need to get ready." Goh told Ash with a sigh. Professor Cerise chuckled slightly at their interaction, and then held up two plane tickets. "I have your tickets right here, but they're scheduled for next friday." Professor Cerise explained. "Awwhhh," Ash said gloomily. "I wanted to go today!" Goh tsk-tsk'd and replied with "Ash, you gotta be more paitient! Anyway," Goh said, turning towards the professor. "How long will we be in Kalos?" Goh asked, tilting his head slightly. Professor Cerise put a finger to his lip for a minute then finally replied. "At least a few months, since Mega-stones are hard to find, and also since we would like to get as much information as possible." Professor Cerise replied with a thoughful look. "Alright!!" Ash excitedly exclaimed as he stood up. Goh laughed and stood up aswell "Kalos, here we come!!" The two said synchronized.
