My name, Is Hajime Hinata, Currently the ultimate lucky student of the 77th class at hopes peak. People say I'm pretty special, but there isn't really anything to it, i just happened to have a fortunate life. Since i was born my parents started having all sorts of promotions and lucky draws making them quite wealthy. They spoil me with the excuse that they love me but sometimes it seems more like they just love my ability.

I sigh as I look around the reserve course hallways. I like walking through here since it's a lot more peaceful than the main course. A lot of them go off campus to eat lunch, or sit outside in the plaza so there's hardly anyone here. I stretch my arms above my head when suddenly a book flies right past me, barely missing me.

"Ah! Oh god I almost hit a main course student! I'm sorry! Please feel free to treat me how you see fit!" A reserve course student with fluffy white hair bowed down in front of me. His books and binder lay scattered on the floor as if he had just tripped.

"Hey, don't worry about it, no harm done, see?" He slowly looked up at me catching me by surprise. He had the most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen. The sparkled like a pond full of wonder and mystery.

"You shouldn't forgive trash like me so easily! I could have seriously hurt you!" The way he called himself trash snapped me out of my daze.

"Hey why would you-"

"Where did ya go you white little bastard!!" I heard some voices from down the hall yell. The boys eyes widened and he quickly scooped up his stuff before running past me. I saw him duck into a classroom then turned back to see four people round the corner. I recognised the four of them from other classes in the main course. Their names were Mondo Owada, Kaito Momota, Leon Kuwata, and even Hiyoko Saionji from my own class.

"Hey lucko! Where did the albino go!" Saionji asked me as she crossed her arms.

"Oh uh- He ran down that hall!" I pointed towards one far from the classroom he was in.

"Let's go beat that punks head in." Mondo cracked his knuckles as the four of them began to run towards where I pointed. I waited for a couple minutes after they were gone and I walked towards the classroom the other guy went in. I walked in and closed the door behind me in case the group backtracked. I looked around to see several empty desks along with a large teachers desk. As I walked closer I could see the boy huddled underneath it, almost completely hidden. He froze up when he saw me but relaxed when he saw I wasn't going to hurt him.

"Hey, let's get you out of here, okay?" He looked around before hesitantly nodding. I slid open the door to the classroom to check before I led him through. We walked towards the nearest exit, then to the plaza so there would be plenty of people. As we settled ourselves on a bench I noticed how much he was shaking.

"I can't believe you bothered to save me... I'm only a reserve course student.. I'm supposed to help you not the other way around..." He stared down at the floor sulking. Not wanting to upset him more I decided to change the topic.

"I'm Hajime Hinata, what's your name?"

"You want to know my name..? Well I guess I can't refuse an ultimate.. I'm Nagito.. Komaeda..." a slight blush of embarrassment came over his face as he wasn't used to being the center of attention.

"Want to hang out after school? We could go to the park." He looked surprised from the suggestion, I hope the park isn't a bad place for him.

"Y-you want me to spend time with you?! I'm sorry but being around someone like..." I guess my disappointment showed on my face because he stopped as he looked at me. He sighed as he nodded. "I'd like to hang out with you Hinata." He gave me a small smile.

"Okay! Let's meet here, alright!" I couldn't keep the excitement out of my voice. It felt nice to be around someone without them caring about what my luck could get them. keeping it quiet wouldn't hurt, right?

The moment class ended I dashed through the hallways, fortunately I  managed to just miss people several times. I was panting and out of breath when I got back to the bench we sat on, but I didn't regret it. A minute later I saw Komaeda jogging up to me.

"*huff* Sorry to keep you waiting Hinata *huff*" it didn't look like he ran much because the distance from the reserve department is considerably closer than the main course from here.

"It's no problem! We can wait for you to catch your breath." He quickly shook his head and stood straight up.

"No no! I'm fine let's get going!" He was still breathing hard but I didn't want to make him feel bad about it.

"Okay, just tell me if you need a rest, okay?" He nodded and we both started to walk. It was early fall so the trees were just starting to turn golden. A few squirrels scurried past us slightly startling Komaeda which made his cheeks turn a bit pink. Despite that he watched the small mammals with wonder as if it were magic. Honestly he looked quite adorable as if he were a little kid.

As we reached the entrance to the park a bird flew past with its wings spread gracefully. The two of us watched it glide to the pond which Komaedas eyes reminded me of. He walked closer to it and leaned down, tapping one of the leaves on the surface with his finger. He watched it with a small smile as it slid gently across the water.

After an hour or so we left and went our own ways. I waved to him before walking down the sidewalk by myself. I hope we can stay friends.
