8. information

There is a tense silence at the table as everyone in the house has come down for dinner, the odd scratch of a fork making contact with a plate etches into the air making the Master sigh. I look up as he brings his eyes up to everyone at the table, I fly start twirling my fork in my hand as he seems to fish up a sentence,
"We have made a few adjustments.... To you two", he begins which makes me and Pedro look at eachother,
"You can only be changed from a certain distance for safety precautions really", he raises his eyebrows at me as he finishes and I quickly clear up my plate.
Safety precautions? Something must be happening soon.
As soon as I finish my food I head straight back upstairs and to my new room, I wander around abit in the room to see if there were any secrets within the walls, you never know, but sadly I came up empty handed, so I decided to pass the time in reading.
It must have been a few hours later as I peek my eyes up off my book and towards the door, it was slightly open just so I could have at least a warning when the master was coming to bed. I watch as the Master's footsteps stop outside the door and he pushes it open, I blink as his eyes fall on me then to the book in my lap, a look etches so to his face but he soon walks in closes the door and heads over to me. I straighten my spine as he towers over to the side of me, he quickly snatches my book and lays it flat on the pages on the dresser, he then makes his way to his side of the bed and begins to undress with his back to me, my eyes widen as he strips down to his boxers and slips in the bed sheet, he then pauses and looks up at me through his lashes.
"Bed, now", he tugs the cover from under me and pulls me to him, I squeak in protest but I'm quickly wrapped up in his arms and tight against his chest, I feel him sigh into my hair as his warmth coats me in a almost soothing manner.
I lay in bed silently listening to the sounds of the Master's breaths waiting for the perfect moment, I decided tonight would be good to sneak around and see what goe son during the night time. As soon as soft snores start to rattle through my cranium I slowlys slipped out the bed and out of his embrace, I gave a sigh of relief as I made my way to the door.
I made my way downstairs while making quick glances behind me to make sure I wasn't being tailed, I'm just about to head into the kitchen when I hear a noise, I snap my head towards the centre of the kitchen and freeze in place as the brother stares back at me surprised.
"Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" He shifts himself so he's leaning against the counter top behind him, quick think of an excuse,
"I was... Thirsty, I needed a drink", I rush out, I hea Dover the to sink and grab a glass and fill it with water, I begin to swill it down while watching the brother stare at me, I wipe my mouth and quickly head back upstairs without giving him a second glance.

I grunt as the bed shifts waking me from my blissful sleep, I peel my eyes open to see the master leaning over me mid kiss, I yelp out in surprise and jerk away from him, but he's quick with his hands and grabs my arm and pulls me in close, he lest out a hot breath which makes me flinch and then let's go of my arm, he quickly gets dressed and leaves without saying a word, I look down at my arm and caring as a red mark is slowly starting to appear.
The rumble of my stomach sets me into gear and sends me straight for breakfast, as I head into the kitchen Pedro waves me over whih I gladly take the seat next to him, we start to tuck into the full English breakfast that he has prepared, when a chair squeaks next to me and a plate is placed beside me, I look up to see the Master place himself into the seat and begin to eat, I steal a glance towards Pedro and he shrugs his shoulders at me. After a while everyone begins to leave when it's just me and the Master alone together, I decide it's the perfect time to ask,
"Who's the woman?", I abruptly say and take a mouthful of fried egg, I look up to him and watch as he clenches his jaw,
"I saved her", he almost growls out, I stop mid chew at his tone and gulp down the egg, he stands and quickly leaves not bothering to clean up his mess after him, I sigh and clean up my plate and bring both plates to the dishwasher, I close the door as hurried footsteps approach from behind, I roll my eyes as I turn around to see Pedro, a smile works iits way onto my face but is soon replaced at his next words,
"We are wanted in the basement", my heart begins to hammer in my chest as he chews on his lip, I nod slightly and slowly follow him to the basement.
I let out a shaky breath as we are met with all the scientists and doctors from before, I didn't even see the device this time as my vision soon goes black, but it is quickly gone which leaves me panting in my cat form. I look over to Pedro hunched down protectively, he glances at me and quickly toddles over to me with a trill over contentment.
"You can roam anywhere you'd like, as if you get into any trouble anyway", a doctor says infront us, I make this my cue and bolt for the stairs and go straight underneath a cupboard away from view, Pedro quickly joins me, I rub my head on him as he scours the wandering feet passing by us.
After a few minutes of staying hidden I decide to ventur out and use my senses to explore abit more, I sepereate from Pedro looking for something to entertain me and figuring out the things I can do when I decide to go back to the main room to find Pedro. I head back downstairs when i stop short to see the master and the woman, I halt on the last step and watch as he pushes the woman off of him as she tries to touch him in some way, I tilt my head in confusion as I watch her go towards the basement, my tail begins to twitch as I look back to the master, I squeel as I dig my claws into the handrail as he swoops me up and into his arms, he begins to rock me and whatever he was doing it more or likely worked as I don't remember falling asleep in his arms.
