Chapter 2

Benno's POV

I stare at the screen mesmerized. How can he be a BL writer?! What does this mean? I move the mouse over and click on his profile. There's an unpublished story? I stare at the cover for a long while. It shows the shadows of two guys standing far apart with one of the guy's hand reaching out to the other. It's titled, "Notice me".

I was just about to click on the story, but closed it once I heard Rei's footsteps coming up the stairs. I jumped onto the bed just as Rei opened the door. "She's happy and excited to see you." Rei smiles and walked into the room. The more I look at him the more I think he's straight. He raised his eye brows at me and walked over to the bed.

"Great! Let's go see the ol'gal." I exclaim sitting up quickly and practically bounced to the door. Well, I should be happy he's a BL writer. Does that make him gay? Wait, his stories are generally about two best friends. He could be writing about me! I smile at the thought.

"You look creepy when you smile like that you know." He says suddenly beside me. "It's an ugly look on you." He teased, elbowed my side gently and hurried ahead to the shed at the back of the house. No it couldn't be about me. I took my time and watched him from behind. God he is so cute. Even his back is sexy.

Now hearing the little yipping of new born puppies I fasten my pace and squat down beside Rei. The cute puppies were rubbing their faces against their mommy. I have a weakness for cute and adorable things, pretty damn manly huh? I mean come on who could possibly not be affected by the ball of fluff? I reach out my hand wanting very badly to touch the fluff.

Out of nowhere Rei smacked the top of my hand and was looking at me with a tiny glare. I don't understand exactly why he smacked my hand, but it kind of burns. I turned my attention to my poor hand which was a slight pink. "wha-"

"She will bite you." He interrupted me. "You don't come over very much so she's not used to you and won't trust you to play with her babies while they are this young." My attention was drawn in by his little explanation and i frown looking at the cute fluff. I really wanted to touch them.

Rei picked up one of the puppies, pet Red gently before getting up and pull me outside away from Red's point of view. He closed the storage door softly then turned his delicious hazel eyes to me. I admit today I'm acting a bit more lovey dovey because of a certain story I managed to finish this morning. Then the shocking yet amazing news I had acquired in Rei's room.

"You took her puppy captive?" I question in order to get my mind clear and away from distractions (aka REI) "That's a little mean don't you think? Especially that hard slap you gave my poor hand."

"Oh yeah sorry about that," He handed the puppy over to me. "And I only took her captive because you looked like you really wanted to play with one of the puppies." He used one of his fingers to rub under the chin of the adorable puppy. "This one sort of looks like you doesn't it?"

I look down and the Moca colored pup. It had dark brown eyes and a mildly confused look on her face. "What do you mean it looks like me?" I was about to continue my babble about how rude that was.

"She's so damn adorable I just want to squeeze her." He manages to say before I could put any more thought into it. "She really is cute."

"You think I'm cute?"

"What?" Rei was looking at me dead in the eyes. I realized I had asked that out loud. "well, I mean, I guess your cute?" He answered in an unsure and questionable way. I felt great because he thought I was cute, but horrible because he didn't sound sure.
