After successfully having done the paper works and organizing for weeks, lots of teasing and practising on the boys behalf they begun recording the last few songs of the album to finish their work off.

You watched them with a smile thinking how they had a good time while recording. With amusement in their eyes and the sparkle of ambition in their faces, they put their best efforts in. Their voices melted together for the duration of the song as it caught your attention as a siren's melody would.

The brunette in charge of the recording used a red button to speak through the window with the guys. Her fire-red ruby eyes fixated on the dark-haired Chinese male with the amber eyes. "Xiao," she addressed him when his gaze wandered to face her. His body slowly turned, to give her his undivided attention.

You noticed the small shiver going through the sound director's body. His gaze felt rather intimidating at times and it manifested clear as day again. She cleared her throat with a singular choking feeling of her voice being stuck. "Try to make it sound— a bit clearer, more smooth like this," she explained to give him an example close behind. You listened from the back corner of the room as she put her voice out to showcase. A beautiful rhythm and sound conjoined in the art of rapping.

After that, you turned your attention specifically to Hu Tao. As she caught your attention. Her ruby red eyes filled with the passion of fire turned to the boys. "That will make the sound of it better." the dark-haired Chinese boy nodded at the suggestion. Hu Tao smiled, "good because we need to make this thing addictive and you're voice is in fact that drug for the fans!" she joked, "you think so too, right Y/n?" she asked jerking her head towards you.

You turned red in embarrassment as you realized you had been in a world of your own with the thoughts. Thoughts that were circling around the dark-haired green-eyed boy that happened to be your best friend. "Sorry, I uh that's a bit embarrassing, but I didn't listen." You admitted awkwardly, scratching your neck.

"Oh that's alright~ everyone gets lost in thoughts or eyes sometimes~" she teased. The feeling of the teasing voice sent down embarrassment in your mind. This small joke made you lose all composure that you tried to hold up while working. As you desired to be the same as always: professional in your occupation.

You shook your head, "It's not like that, I only thought about the future preparations—" you lied, gritting through your teeth as you hated this. You thought about how angelic Venti's voice sounded combined with the others.

The whole situation was making you feel sick. You wanted to punch yourself in the guts for saying that. Might as well go ahead and lie about being single to her while being at it. Which  didn't intend to do. You didn't want to let another lie slip out of your mouth on this topic.

Avoiding it, or rather ignoring the tease about the eyes would work. The implication that you sensed of it would be difficult to avoid.

After an hour when the others talked in the other room with no other soul left. She turned around with her chair. Her ruby-red eyes flickered with curiosity.

"So you have a boyfriend," she asked while her eyes glanced at you expectantly. She had her eyes on you. Crossing her arms with a smug expression decorating her face. A few ideas were crossing her mind. She leaned forward in her chair. "Common you can trust me!" she exclaimed proudly. Her voice was hushed and only directed towards you, the pressure of it was even more visible. It was real and the only thing you pictured it as.

You tried to reply anything, something, but nothing would leave your mouth. Similar to a dessert everything was dried out even your mind was in its by far blankest state.

When your eyes met hers you found yourself in the middle of being extremely nervous. The room went silent as you tried to come out with words. But they resisted your commands and stumbled around. "No— I mean yes." you exclaimed.

The brunette smirked at the answer. The question being answered wasn't the end of her curiosity. Even with that she poked around in areas others kept their fingers from.

Some would say her curiosity knew no bounds, but for you it only turned out uncomfortable. Familiar to a interrogation with the difference you weren't guilty, but feeling like it for going as far as accidentally revealing information.

Information that could, if it was placed into the wrong hands, ruin your boyfriend's career and that of his friends.

Her face changed to that of a funny grimace, tilting her head in the process. She appeared rather enthusiastic about the topic. Which was to your dismay as you wanted to move on from it. Scratching the tip of your finger. "You don't wanna share with me who it is?" You felt her elbows light force in your ribs side, nudging you. You flinched in surprise.

There was on one side the fact you wanted to keep it a secret. On the other side, there was the whole issue about keeping it that way. To not share about something this confidential wasn't the problem itself, but rather the fact that you weren't the best at lying your way through the path.

"It's complicated and I'm not sure if I can share something about it." You admitted scratching your neck. The warmth that came up in you was a significant sign of embarrassment for you.

The truth was difficult to share.

"Oh~ I understand.." she chuckled lightly, a hint of mischief underlying between the layers of her tone, "forbidden love." she emphasized with a glint in her eyes. One that seemed like she had you all figured out.

That triggered panic in you. Your heartbeat increased filling your ears with the feeling that the sound of your heart was near exploding. Your breath hitched in surprise. Your eyes went wide. "No— Ms Tao!" you exclaimed as the blood in your veins slowly froze. The anxiety not leaving your mind at rest.

When she filled the short silence, you felt relief. "Just call me Hu, all my friends do." she smiled brightly reaching out with her hand. A hint of relief washed over your face. All the anticipation of anxiety in you slowly vanished.

"Really?" you smiled nervously.

She nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah.. and I won't tell anyone that you're together with Venti." At that point, you felt speechless. Your mind had gone black all at once, there wasn't a single thought leaping through that you could have used to deny it. You looked into her ruby eyes with shock in your gaze. Leaving your veins frozen as you gasped silently. There wasn't a single word that left your mouth for a moment.

The silence reigned above the two of you.

"What?" you said, attempting to brush it off. By trying to smile and hide it as you looked up into her eyes. The brunette had left you with a big revelation. One that tugged at your nerves. She dropped it out of nowhere which caught you off guard.

She smiled so lightly completely indifferent to you. The truth was that you were nervous, nervous about her spilling any of it. Just like you had thought before, but this thought was more violent. It wouldn't dissappear nor leave you, this was tied to you making your heart race and rage in your ribcage. The oh-so-familiar feeling.

"Your reactions tell a lot and people talk," her voice was calm, but nothing in it could soothe you unless she would finally confirm that she wouldn't spill a word. She turned to you once again. This time more intense, "I'm only someone observant, but take my advice, try to keep each other safe by concealing the fact you're a couple for a while." she winked playfully at you.

"Thank you Hu." You mumbled, holding your hands tight together. Your palms had filled with soaking sweat. In the process, your feelings were all over the place.

A last turn came from her with a smile, "I promise, it's safe with me."
