Logan Diamond
I couldn't take my eyes of her. I stood captivated by her tenderness with West's sister.
That could be our child one day... claim her... please take our angel!screamed my wolf.
I wanted desperately to move from the shadows I was lurking in to cradle her tiny body in my arms and protect her from anything. The truth is, a human in a wolf world could never be safe. She would never be able to run with a pack or lead a pack of wolves. How could they ever grow to respect her? As I watch her shiny, long hair cascade down her sexy slender back I almost growl at the frustration of having the girl of my dreams so close- yet so unattainable.
"Tina, Tina! Nooooo please... stop!" cried the giggling toddler as she ran by on her chubby legs.
I watched as my beautiful mate chased after her smiling like the radiant angel she is.
I never understood what the deal was with soul mates. In the human world they date and have plenty of people who they believe are their soul mate but for us wolves we know for certain that there is only one person out there for us. Many wolves wait to be in a relationship with their mate, I however never liked the idea of one person being the centre of your world- until I saw her sparkling eyes and dazzling smile the day she entered my crazy life.
Thud!
A soft warm body collided into my Chest and my whole body came alive. I closed my eyes as my arms tightened around her slender waist and nose buried itself in her honey-scented hair. I had two seconds of bliss holding her before she stared into my eyes and most probably my wolf eyes to but I couldn't shut the wolf side off when she was with me. For a split second I saw her lean forward moving her face towards mine but then she pulled away quickly as the trance was broken.
"Tina! Where are you? Tina!"cried the toddler searching for my mate.
"Coming!" she replied with a smile in her voice.
She whipped her head round to face me , "Thank you, Logan Diamond. It seems you were the dashing hero when I needed you." and with that parting statement she tiptoed and grazed her soft lips against my cheek.
The sensation of her lips against my skin was maddening. I was struck by the desire to chase her down and take her home with me- just so I could hold her make her smile.
Buzz buzz buzz
My phone vibrated in my pocket as I glimpsed the caller ID I felt ashamed. It was Katie, the girl I tried to sleep with the day I saw Christina. I thought I could really get over her that quickly but her touch felt wrong;my whole body rejected her; her scent was all wrong. She wasn't Christina. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't bring myself to be with another woman when the only one for me lived only five seconds away.
I was walking home when I felt my phone buzz for the eighth time. I finally picked up, ready to tell Katie to get lost.
"What the hell do you want,Katie?" I screamed down the phone.
"Charming Logan... I wanted to know why you haven't called me. You said you were sick last week when you dropped me home. I was worried about you, baby!" She giggled down the phone in her high pitched voice.
I smothered the urge to crush my phone as I told her that I didn't want her to ever call my phone again. My wolf was beginning to emerge as he hated that a woman that wasn't my mate was using casual endearments such as "baby."
I sprinted past my parents in the kitchen and straight into my back yard to begin my transformation from man to wolf.
