Lunch Time

Chapter 2 continued:

    Scott, Stiles and I walked to the cafeteria, and we got in line grabbing our trays of food. After 5 minutes, we managed to find a spot, and we sat down and started eating our food. I looked around and no one saw me, literally, I was practically invisible. I was snapped out of my thoughts by hearing something, it was a beating. It sounded like a heart, I tried ignoring it and pushing it out of my head. 

    Then my hand accidentally brushed against Scott's and I heard it again, I gave him a weird look. Then I felt my heart beating fast and Scott gave me that same look. I got up from my seat and excused myself and I walked away, out of sight. I thought to myself, I'm going to see if what I have is really true, and I'm not going crazy.

    I took a breath and I said his name "Scott, can you hear me?" I was in a place where he couldn't see me, but I could see him. I saw him in his seat looking around, like he had heard me. "Scott, if you can hear me, say my name." he was trying to process how he could hear me and not see me. He said my name "Aria, I can hear you, wait did you get bitten too?!"

    "Yes I did and ever since then I've heard things that I shouldn't be able to hear. Scott, we have to figure out what's wrong with us." "Well, I think Stiles knows he says.....werewolf. I don't want to believe it, but I heard a wolf howl after I was bitten." I opened my eyes realizing I wasn't crazy, "Scott, I heard it too. I heard a wolf."

    I could hear Stiles asking "wait Aria is one too?" Then he looked at his phone and said to Scott, "if you guys are werewolves, then we need to worry, because there's a full moon on Friday." Scott said, "tomorrow is...." I walked back in the cafeteria and up to the boys "guys we should figure out whatever is happening to us, and does it in fact mean we are werewolves." 

    We all stood up and walked out of the cafeteria and Scott said "I think we have to talk to Derek." Stiles said to Scott with a hint of anger in his voice, "are you kidding me, you want to talk to the murderer?" "He is the one who bit me stiles, so he has to know what's happening to us." I froze as I started thinking of the man that bit me, could it be this Derek Scott was talking about?

****** Time Skip ******

    It was after school and Scott stiles and I were at the burnt down house in the woods. I looked at the sad excuse for a house, and then I said," he's here, I know it." Right on cue a guy emerged through the door and said "what do you want Scott?" I looked at him, he was pretty attractive, but I had no interest in him...for reasons I can't talk about yet.

    Scott was saying "Derek, you bit us, so you have to tell us why, why did you do this to us?" I looked up as I felt Derek's eyes on me. "She was bitten too?" Scott nodded, "well I didn't bite any of you, it was the alpha." Out of curiosity and trying to confirm a suspicion I asked "Derek what does the alpha look like, does he have red glowing eyes?" Derek said," yes he does, why?"

    My heart dropped to my stomach and my hands clenched up into fists, and I closed my eyes. I felt Derek walk up to me and say "woah calm down, Aria breath, relax. What happened?" I spoke without opening my eyes, "he's the one who killed my best friend, he's the one who bit me." I left a big pause then spoke again," I'm going to kill him" I said as my eyes opened and Derek looked at me and stumbled backwards.

    Scott asked "Derek what happened, what did you see?" Derek regained his senses then said, "Scott, her eyes, they....they flashed red. That's impossible, she hasn't killed an alpha." Stiles and Scott were kind of confused, "what's going on? What does that mean, Derek, what does it mean?" As Stiles and Scott said this I heard something in the woods, "guys I think someone's here."
