POV: George

The cool metal blade glided across my skin, making me wince slightly as blood streamed down my arm and draining down the sink. I shuddered, closing my eyes as I made cut after cut. I lost track of how many I made, but eventually I found myself so dizzy the knife clattered from my hand and into the sink bowl. I fell forward, keeping myself from collapsing by supporting myself on the sink. I closed my eyes again, breathing shallow. It was a text that brought me back to my senses. A text from Dream.

"Hey!" The text read, "You wanna chill today? Sapnap is out and won't be back till like midnight. Lemme know and I'll come pick you up if so :)" Fuck. I wanted to hang out, bad. But there was no way in hell I could in my current state. And if he left right now, he'd be here in 10 minutes max. I typed shakily, making a painful amount of typos. "Sure! can you plan to arrive in like 20 minutes? I should be ready by then." Dream hearted the message, and I shut my phone off. I bit my tongue to stifle a yelp as I reached up and opened the mirror cabinet. I grabbed the giant medical pads inside, giving my arm a light rinse and dry before putting them on. It hurt like a bitch. I hissed through my teeth, putting away the pads and then reaching for the knife handle. I ground my teeth as the urge to dig it right back into my arm came across me. I ignored it, rinsing the blade and then hiding it in its usual drawer.

I made my way out of the bathroom, heading to my closet and changing into a comfortable sweater and jeans. It was hot outside, but I didn't dare let my arms or legs show. Once I was dressed, I combed through my hair and headed into the kitchen. I grabbed a handful a grapes to keep myself from puking, then plopped down on the couch. I winced at the pain the jarring of my arm caused. After what felt like the longest 15 minutes of my life, there was a knock at the front door.

I stood up, tucking my cut up arm nervously against my chest and walking to the door. As I opened it, the first thing I noticed was Dream's attire. He had a semi tight T-shirt on, some jeans, and a necklace with had an arrow symbol hanging from the end. He grinned at me, his voice light and bubbly. "Hey! I hope you weren't waiting too long?" I laughed softly, smiling at him. "You arrived right on time. As per usual." Dream laughed along with me, his voice gentle. "Yes, because I could never bear to leave you waiting." I rolled my eyes lightheartedly, and he just grinned. A moment later, he looked me up and down briefly and then spoke. "Ready to go?" I nodded, biting down hard on my tongue to silence a screech when he gently took my left hand in his; that was my bad arm.

I closed my eyes tightly, letting him guide me to the car. I opened them when he released my hand and took a shaky breath. I slid into the passenger seat at the same time he entered the drivers' side, and he looked to me as he sat down. "Everything okay?" He asked, "You seem a bit anxious." I nodded, praying he didn't notice the tension in my voice as I tried to ignore the burning in my arm. "Yeah, I'm okay. Anxious to get to your house, maybe. I'm excited." I smiled lightly, but he didn't seem convinced. He didn't push it though, and instead just nodded and pulled out of the driveway.

Midway through the drive, he took a turn I wasn't familiar with. This wasn't the way to his house. "Where are we going?" I asked. Dream laughed softly, giving me a small smile before focusing back on the road in his reply. "You'll see. I want to show you something." I raised an eyebrow, my tone shifting to playful. "Do I get to know anything else?" He grinned, shaking his head. "Nope." I laughed softly, and he did too. The rest of the drive was spent in a peaceful silence.

He took a turn off onto a dirt road, and I couldn't help but look around curiously. Slowly, our surroundings drifted from street lights and distant car humming sounds to dense forests and chirping birds. As we came to the end of the road, there was a small clearing and what looked to be a makeshift parking lot. He parked his car, turning to look at me. "You ready?" He asked. I nodded, and we stepped out of the vehicle together.
