Vincent, on his knees, held tightly onto his wounded stomach as he let out agonizing groans. I could start to see a pool of blood surround him completely, knowing that he was losing blood quickly. Mike stood there with the gun still aimed at him as we watched the color of Vincent's face fade away into a very pale color. I kept trying to talk to Vincent asking him to talk to me so that I know he was still responsive, but he started to be very quiet. Mike decided it was time to go, but he wanted to do one last thing. Grabbing me by the wrist, he dragged me into the pole I was once tied to and threw me on it. The impact of it hit my jaw and blood started to slowly drool out of my mouth. I turned around to see Mike grabbing a type of liquid in a red tin and poured it all around Vincent. The smell made me realize that it was gasoline, and then everything hit me.
"You're going to light his house on fire!?" I tried my best to say with blood still coming out.
"Well actually I was planning on just surrounding him in fire in hope that it would eventually burn him but now that you speak of it, it will probably burn his house down too," he said with not a care in the world.
He grabbed a set of matches from his pocket and lit a match. I could see Vincent quietly lift his head up just to see Mike throwing down the match onto the gasoline. The flames immediately grew bigger and bigger. I started to cry and scream for Vincent in hope that he could hear me. Mike ran over to me grabbing my whole body and carried me out the door.
"You can't just leave him in there! He's going to die!" I screamed.
"That's the point! He deserves to die for the pain he's done to everyone else. What goes around, comes around, its karma!" he said enthusiastically.
"No! I won't let you leave him there!" I said as I kicked and tried to wiggle around like a kitten when you hold it. I was eventually able to kick him in a place where it hurts the most. He dropped me, grabbing on to his area and falling on to his knees. I ran to the kitchen and tried to hide, in hope that he would leave, but those hopes were diminished when I heard his footsteps creak louder and louder towards me. I peeked my eyes over the counter to see that he was looking in the living room for me. I tried to open the bottom cabinets to find something I knew Vincent would have multiple of. Hope came back into me when I found what I was looking for. A knife. I grabbed it and crawled over to the other side on the kitchen. Mike stood right in front of where I was going, but with his back facing me. I gripped onto the knife harder with my clammy hands and slowly but quietly stood up.
"Let's try this one last time," I whispered to myself. I brought my arms back and with all the force I had, brought my arms down onto his back. The knife penetrating into his back, this time though all the way through. I screamed in hope that what I did worked. Mike screamed as well and I could see blood now dripping down his back. He dropped to his knees once more, as I quickly tried to get the knife back out to do more damage to his body. It was a bit harder, but I was able to get the knife out with his blood just squirting everywhere in Vincent's kitchen and somewhat onto the dress I was still wearing. I walked around Mike to see his face in excruciating pain.
"Listen hear Mike, and listen well," I said as I grabbed onto his face, "Let me teach you something I hope you remember for all of eternity. What goes around, comes around. It's something I call karma!" I yelled as I punched him as hard as I could in his face, knocking him unconscious. I knew by the time he was to be awake, he would of lost too much blood, and he would die. I tried not to think too much of that because I had other more important things to do.
I ran back into the hidden room, but flames were starting to sprout from the door. I was afraid I was too late and Vincent was dead already, but I still had hope in me. I opened the door, running through the flames to see that Vincent had moved. Covering my mouth to avoid inhaling the gases of the fire, I tried my best to yell for his name. I looked around to see him in the hidden corner that we were hiding in earlier. When I got to him I could see his clothes were already singed from the flames.
