It was really interesting how life in general turns out.
A lapse of time indeed.
It was only four months ago that I had refunded Adrian back his money, thought about whoever the prince of peace was for a week and even purchased a bible.
That Sunday, I cried out like a baby when I was offered the opportunity to give my life to Christ and I did.
I was a born again Christian.
Adrian and Mr. Babu were overjoyed.
Jay was in a constant state of unbelief, he remained up standing as he watched me kneel and get saved- his mouth failing to close like a fish.
Was it worth it ?
Yeah, it was. Not to say I had no problems, of course life in itself presented daily challenges but I had what in my twenty four years on planet earth lacked; peace.
As I sat on a chair at the front porch of my rented apartment in Nakuru, I smiled.
My life may have been messed up but a certain someone restored it by using a certain Mr. Adrian.
I sipped passion juice and read the novel on my lap just as my phone rang.
“ Hey, sasa ? ” Adrian greeted.
“ Hey too, ”
He chuckled, “ Hey too ! ”
“ Copy cat ! ”
He laughed, “ Any way what are you doing ?”
“ Minding my business, ”
“ You're mean, I thought you're my friend, ”
I chuckled.
My relationship with my ex boss had taken a playful nature since. He was brotherly and very respectful towards me despite finally coming to the knowledge of who I really was.
“ ...there's a hike this weekend, ” He continued.
“ Where ? ”
“ Karura Forest, wanna join, Other friends will be coming too, ”
I smiled, “ Okay. ”
And it was okay indeed even as the sun set casting its beautiful rays in the horizon and a relaxing chill beat about myself. A promise of a greater entity who I had entrusted with my entire being.
Scary ?
Of course, it was.
But I knew everything would be okay.
