na jaemin ; coffee boy
the boy who owns the café across my house. he's attractive and that helped his business. specifically, among the ladies. I come by often as well with the intention of seeing the handsome looking owner and buying their strawberry shortcake. I had once told him that the cake reminds me of home. he smiled at me and said, "I'm glad it comforted you."
I really like it whenever he interacts with customer with his cheerful high pitched voice. sometimes, it goes deep. everyone finds him attractive. you would too.
I learn new things everyday from the gossip around town. they said he's single which is surprising. Oh, and I found out he lives in the block next to mine. but the gossips were getting a bit more ridiculous. Instead, he was the one who came to my table and asked me how was i doing, what book am I currently reading, how's my job as an author. he also talked about himself too and his stories gets more interesting. when he told he's a strawberry slender, that's when we had our first meaningless debate. it was quite chaotic and we were having it in his café. people gave us disapproving looks.
"then why bother selling some strawberries flavoured stuff if you 'despise' them?" I once asked, "because I see you enjoy eating them." that was his answer. I felt a bit special for a moment. Only for a moment.
me and Jaemin started to get closer day by day. I tried his favourite death caffeine, "I think I saw the reaper for a second there-" I successfully regain my mindset back not long after. never going to try that again. as a revenge, I told him to try one bite of the strawberry pudding I recently restocked. and he didn't enjoy it as much as I didn't with his drink.
One time, I was struggling with my job. mainly because of the publisher I had to suddenly work with since my usual-favourite one fell ill. oh boy, that man gave me pressure. he was impatient and definitely doesn't understand the struggle of being an author. crying in front of my laptop as I tried to write. but it got better when he started to visit me, brought me food. he'd either cooks them from his home or from my home. we'd have dinner quite often. he cheered me up and got me all inspired up for my book.
"I can't believe we just watched it for another week.." I turned off the TV. we just had our movie night together and I couldn't help but to play Disney's 'The Princess And The Frog' . third week of watching it. "I need my weekly boost." I exaggerate. Jaemin shook his head and laughed. him laughing made me laugh too. that's the laugh, I thought.
we fell silent as soon as our eyes met. and he, slowly got closer. "why..?" I spoke, feeling a bit flustered that his and my face were close enough for a kiss.
and so my thoughts were right, for once. he did. he kissed me. my heart started to race. it felt like I was in one of the romance novel I've read before. Na Jaemin could pass of as the male lead. why? because he's the standard, that's why.
when he pulled away, his face was heating up. and I assumed I was too. "I love you." yes, he said it. he said the word. I didn't say anything. all I did was, I kissed him. he kissed me back. we kissed. just like in the movies and in the books. it seems like my wishes of getting to feel some scenes like in those books has granted.
now I gotta say, he's a good kisser.
