Talking to Felix was a good idea. Finally Jisung had the chance to pour out his heart, all his worries. The freckled boy was a very patient listener. Wherever Lee Felix was, was a safe place. He was always surrounded by light, positivity and pure love. He also gave Jisung some pretty good advices, and that was why Jisung was here now, five days before getting the Line, at a small, cozy diner, Minho in front of him.

No, the diner was not one of Felix's brilliant ideas, it was one of the last couple activities the system wanted them to attend. At least they were free to choose the restaurant by themselves, so they decided to go to their favorite one within seconds.

But Jisung wanted to try to implement what he talked about with Felix. With slightly sweaty hands he took his coke to take a sip. Even though he talked with Minho pretty normal after that day the older had visited him to kinda clear things up (or make them worse, he wasn't sure about that), he still felt weird. He knew things his best friend didn't. But how do you explain to someone that he has made a pretty important move like this while being hella drunk?
Well, it was time to find that out.

"Min-"
"Hm?" The older looked up from his phone, a questioning look on his face.
Maybe Jisung should wait with this until they finished eating? He didn't want to cause an awkward atmosphere. This was not how to enjoy good food.

So... to respect the food... Yes?
Yes. Waiting.

"Oh, nothing. Did you decide what to order?"
"The same as always. You know me! And I bet you take the same as usual, too."
The younger boy smiled and nodded. He loved these small things.

After eating way too many fries, burgers and chicken wings, Jisung asked the waiter to bring two milkshakes, the speciality of the house.
Minho frowned. Usually, one of the boys only ordered milkshakes when the other one was sad, something has happened or serious stuff like that.

"What's up?"
"Well..."
"Ji? Did something happen?"
Jisung shook his head.
"No. I just.. wanted to talk about some stuff with you."
Minho waited patiently for the younger to go on talking while the waiter brought the shakes.
"Did you already start packing? For our new apartment?"
Our new apartment. Speaking this out loud felt weird, but also very good. Exciting.

Now it was Minho who shook his head. "I swear, I was about to start packing like five times or something, but always something else came up and in the end I didn't. You didn't start either, I guess?"
"As if I would start that early. Ask me again in three days, maybe I'll think about it then."
Minho chuckled and took a sip of his shake. "As expected."

Silence. Why the hell was there so much silence the last few days??

"Are you excited to move?"
The older slowly tilted his head to the right side. "Not that much. I like my apartment, I don't really want to move."
Jisungs mind instantly used this to start a new vortex of thoughts.
So he doesn't really want to move in with me?
The older boy continued: "What I'm kinda excited about is moving in with my best friend. It's pretty cool that we get this possibility, don't you think?"

So I'm still just a friend.

Even though Jisung felt a sting somewhere in his heart, he nodded and smiled. "Yeah. It's pretty cool."
"I mean, the new apartment is not that bad. It even has a bath tub. And the living room is as twice as big as my current one. Maybe, one day, we could even get some kittens with that much space."
"True. AND we'll have a huge fridge." This fact brightened up Jisungs mood a little bit. The thought of food always helped, even if he finished his burger only minutes ago.
Additionally Minhos eyes shone while his thoughts drifted into one of a million possible future scenarios. His eyes looked so beautiful, sparkly, the younger was fascinated.
"Imagine both of us doing groceries. Like seriously. This will be chaotic as hell."
"Bullshit. That'll work out pretty fine. We often went shopping together. Otherwise I can go by myself while you clean the house."
"I will NOT let you buy food alone, Jisung. Unlike you I can't live a whole week only consuming cereals and popsicles."

They bickered like this for some time, until the shake glasses where empty and the two friends left the diner.
The air already smelled like night frost. Jisung put his scarf on (and mentally kicked himself in the ass for not talking about the real issue to his best friend,) while Minho stared in the dark, cloudy sky. No stars tonight.
"Do you think it will snow soon?"
Jisung followed his friend's gaze, up in the sky. The city lights brightened up heavy looking clouds in the mild orange of light pollution. (I hope yk what I mean)
"Again? Possibly. Autumn feels pretty short this year."
Minho nodded. Yes, after a very hot and humid summer autumn painted the leafs colorful not that long ago.
Everything has happened so fast this year. Or was it just how the older felt?
Not even a month ago the system has chosen his best friend to become Minhos life partner. So much has happened since then. Or not? The olders brain had difficulties to put things in logical order. With the change from summer to autumn something in Minho had shifted, too. Everything felt different since the CC has taken place.
With his mind still somewhere else, the older boy looked at the younger. White clouds of breath surrounded his face, cheeks slowly turning a little red from the cold.
So damn adorable.

"Hey, Ji. Are you free tomorrow? In the evening?"
The younger thought for a second. "I only have to finish one assignment tomorrow, but it should be fine. Why?"
"Just come to my apartment. At 7."

Happy pride month my loves💖
