"NO, IM NOT BOOTY BETHY, TAO! You cant do this to me on my birthday!" Bethany shouted at Tao over the sound of the arcade. Tao grinned and ignored her, her phone buzzed.

im here! meet me at the doors:)Nick texted. Bethany did a little dance in place.

"Nicks here! I'll be right back!" Bethany said to her friends, then went to the doors of the arcade. In walked Nick with a gift bag and his adorable smile.

"You came!" Bethany exclaimed, running up to hug him. Nick took in the different appearance of the girl. Her hair wasn't curled, but straightened. She wore a black turtleneck sweater and green corduroy pants, black converse to match. A number 16 sticker was stuck to her shirt.

"Yeah, of course I did." Nick replied, holding her tightly. He pulled away and placed a kiss on her cheek. "Happy birthday." Nick handed her a gift bag.

"You didn't have to get me anything!" Bethany shook her head at his stubbornness.

"And I ignored you." Nick replied simply, shrugging.

"Come on." Bethany gestured to the bowling alleys, taking Nicks hand.

"Am I the first one here?" Nick asked her.

"No, you're actually the last. We're on lane 17." Bethany pointed to her chatting friends.

"I feel like I know her from somewhere."Nick stated, referring to Elle.

"That's Elle, she used to go to our school. She would have been in our year, but she moved to Higgs." Bethany said back. "That's Isaac, he doesn't say a lot. He's really nice, though." The red head pointed out. "And you know Charlie... And Tao. Sorry i'm advance if he says anything rude. You know how he is." Bethany finished, shrugging. Her group of friends looked over at Bethany and Nick, Charlie waved. "Ready to meet them?"

"Yeah." Nick replied smiling. They walked over to the group together, Bethany set down Nicks gift by her phone and the gift her friends got her.

"Everyone, this is Nick." Bethany announced happily, Tao sort of huffed out a greeting.

"Hey." Isaac greeted the boy softly.

"Oh, good. We're just choosing fun names for the board." Elle said happily.

"Fun names?" Nick asked, moving to look at the board.

"Elle Smells and Booty Bethy was Taos idea." Isaac chimed in, Nick chuckled at the names.

"I told him to change it." Bethany muttered, throwing a chip in Taos direction. So the bowling began, to Nicks surprise, Bethany was really bad at bowling. Like worse than Charlie, and Charlie was really bad. What surprised him as well, was Tao. Tao was mostly friendly, and very good at bowling. In the end, it was Elle and Nick tied, Nick won by getting two strikes in a row. "You definitely cheated." Bethany joked as Nick walked back to her.

"Oh, yeah? How?" Nick titled his head to the side and his infamous lopsided smirk appeared.

"You have strong rugby arms." Bethany reached out and squeezed his bicep playfully.

"Strong rugby arms?" Nick related back to her, scoffing.

"You've got an unfair advantage." Bethany shrugged, as if she was staying the facts.

"You're literally one of the best players on the team, Beth." Nick shook his head at her. "Besides, I thought you liked my arms." Nick winked down at her, Bethany scrunched her nose up and playfully punched her fist into his bicep, then walked away.
