BETHANY'S PHONE DINGED WHILE SHE CHANGED IN THE LOCKER ROOM AFTER PRACTICE. Ben Hopes name popped up on her screen.

"The hell?" She muttered, picking her phone up.

ur on the rugby team right? meet me in the music block after.

Bethany scoffed but was curious as to why he wanted to meet her. So she finished getting dressed and started for the music block, unknowing that Nick trialed behind her. She dragged her feet down the hall when a voice called her name.

"Bethany." Ben was hiding between walls. She walked over to him but kept her distance.

"Can I help you?" Bethany scoffed at him.

"I know about you and Sarah." He taunted her. "I also know for a fact you aren't strictly a lesbian."

"And I know about you and Charlie." She spat back, rolling her eyes. "What's your point? You don't scare me."

"What if..." Ben starter, stepping closer to Bethany. Soon he had her backed against the wall. "...What if I told everyone about you and Sarah?" He asked, his body keeping Bethany's from moving from the wall.

"Get off, Hope. I don't care who you tell, it's her problem, not mine." Bethany said through gritted teeth.

"Stay away from her." Ben spoke lowly. "She's my girlfriend, not your secret meet up now."

"Good, I didn't really like her anyways." Bethany replied. But slowly Ben leaned closer, like he was going to kiss her. "What the fuck?" She tried to get away from but she couldn't until she felt him be flung off of her.

"She told you to stop!" Nicks voice rang out. Bethany stood behind and glared at Ben. "Go on. Piss off." Nick said again, Ben looked between the two and ran away. Nick looked back at a stunned Bethany. "You okay?" He asked softly.

"Did you... Hear all of that?" Bethany asked, her heart racing.

"Most of it. I just... You seemed kind of out of it today, so I... I wanted to check if everything is okay." Nick said back, keeping a kind smile on his face.

"Sorry." She apologized, something Bethany rarely did.

"You have nothing to be sorry about." Nick said, his expression turning sad slightly.

"Sorry." She said again, mentally cursing herself for even talking again.

"I'm pretty sure this is the only time I've ever heard you say sorry." Nick pointed out. "What happened with Ben and Sarah isn't my problem or my business, but if you ever want to talk about it, you can tell me. Or find me on instagram." He finished, he reached out and laid a gentle hand on her shoulder, it sent sparks through her whole body.

"Thanks." Bethany said with a small smile.

"We should probably go, otherwise we're gonna get locked in for the night." Nick chuckled, Bethany nodded in reply and they walked out in silence. They reached the parking lot and stopped.

"My dads over there..." She gestured to the brown car parked but the curb.

"Yeah, I'm that way." Nick mistimed behind him to another car waiting for him.

"Okay, bye." Bethany waved and smiled and turned on her heel.

"See you tomorrow?" Nick asked loudly as she walked away.

"Yeah!" She replied over her shoulder, Nick watched her get into her car before getting into his moms car.

"How was practice?" Bethany's dad asked when she buckled up.
