I'm sitting in the sports store and the owner named Dake is calling the police. My car broke down near here and I have to wait for a toe truck. Hugging my knees to my chest I see a young boy with big hair enter the store eyeing me as he lifts up his sunglasses in confusion. "Excuse me, ma'am. Are you okay?" The boy asked slowly walking towards me seeing that I wipe away tears with my jacket sleeve. "My truck decided to break down a few miles down the road. So I'm stuck here until I can get it fixed. And I have no more money because I had to give it to the guy for repairs and no where to sleep." I throw my hands up frustrated with myself at why this had to happen to me the first time I decided to take a road trip on my own.

"Well, I'm Georgie Cooper. What's your name. I may be able to help." He asked bending down on a knee in front of me giving me a small smile making me feel less nervous. Eyeing Georgie for a few seconds I feel my cheeks turning a little red seeing he is cute. "I'm Y/n, Y/n L/n...how can you help me...do you even want to?" Sometimes I hated my shyness around people because I'm afraid they'll not like me. The backdoor opened and the owner Dale walked out offering me his hand that I declined. "Well your truck is being taken to the shop. I can drop you off at the police station if you'd like." Georgie interprets the elderly man offering me his right hand instead that I accepted. "Don't worry about it. I can take my lunch break early and show her around."

Dale shrugged his shoulders watching us walk out to his truck climbing inside. Buckling my seatbelt I mumbled still feeling shy around Georgie but for a different reason than Dale I think. "Thank you for helping me, Georgie." He turns the key starting the truck and driving us to a small restaurant smiling back at me. Once we are sat down with our drinks and burgers there's silence but not an uncomfortable one giving Georgie an opportunity to let his thoughts wonder. He knew you were pretty that was clear but there was something else about you that drew him in to know more. "Y/n, I - uh know we just met but - would you wanna go to dinner with me - say tomorrow or somethin'?" He asked nervously rubbing the back of his neck feeling relaxed when you smiled answering the young Texan. "Yeah, that'd be fun."
