Shinya immediately turns extremely red. "Um.. Did you read anything in- i-it" Shinya can't seem to grasp onto the fact Guren picked up his journal in the hallway or may have read anything in there.

Guren looked at Shinya in the eyes and took a few seconds to respond. "...No.." Guren sounded hesitant. "I respect people's privacy."

Shinya immediately stopped blushing and took a breathe of relief. Shinya took his journal back thanking Guren. 

"No problem.." ... Ahem, "So your name's Shinya?" Guren asked. Shinya turned a little red from hearing Guren say his name and he starts to have butterflies.

"Yeah, that's me!" Shinya smiles, now that he has his journal back he can worry much less. This was the last class of the day, he just has to make it through this last class and that's it. Plus, the class was almost over anyway....Oh right- he has detention..

"Cool, I'm Guren- Guren Ichinose." Guren still didn't really show much emotion to his words.

"Nice name," Shinya laughed softly, he didn't really know why he was being so open to Guren all of a sudden but it felt nice.. until the teacher scolded him for talking to Guren. Shinya groaned in annoyance, he really did hate school.. But it was alright as long as he had Shinoa there to help him every now and then.

It was good that Shinoa was there for him when he was in freshman year.. He would come home crying every day..

In Shinya's freshman year he was very quiet but a lot of the girls at the school liked to stare at him, which made him a bit uncomfortable. One day one of the girls he was sorta friends with tried to tell Shinya that she liked him, he tried to tell her that he didn't like her like that but the girl started crying and it made Shinya feel guilty. Shinya didn't know what to do so he told the girl that he was gay and told her to keep it on the down low putting trust in her, but that was a stupid move and the girl went around telling everyone.. Shinya was bullied for 2 of his high school years. They would lock him into lockers, shout slurs at him, or dump their lunch food tray on him; saying they had mistaken him for a garbage can. But by his 3rd year(this year) the bullying kind of settled down a bit. He would still be called homophobic slurs in the halls sometimes though, it was something he was used to. The bullying all started with this one big guy,(Also the boyfriend of the girl Shinya had rejected) he still won't leave Shinya alone not even this year either. It's one of the things Shinya was afraid of.

The bell rang and Shinya got ready to go to detention, he sluggishly walked through the hall with his head down as usual. All of a sudden he bumped into a guy, he recognized the guy because it's the same guy that made his first 2 years miserable.. And also this year. He was also much taller and stronger than Shinya.. "Sorry." Shinya mumbled while trying to walk around the guy when all of a sudden the guy extended his arm to block Shinya, "Um.. Excuse me." Shinya wanted to disappear so bad right now. The guy wrapped his arm around Shinya's neck putting him into a headlock, also making Shinya drop all of his stuff. "Augh, s-stop" Shinya gasped. 

"This isn't a school for fags, twink." The bully snickered. Shinya struggled to get out of his grip but the bully tightened his grip on his neck causing Shinya to cough. Shinya tried kicking his legs and grinding his nails into the guy's skin, the arm that was wrapped around his neck, but the bully did not budge, he just kept tightening his grip. Shinya could barely breathe now. The bully laughed at Shinya, "Pathetic." The bully insulted. All of a sudden someone had punched the bully in the face and he let go of Shinya. Shinya fell to the ground trying to catch his breathe. The bully was on the ground, his nose bleeding.

"Mess with someone your own size." The 'savior' snickered to the bully. That voice was very familiar, Shinya looked up to see who was it that saved him. And surprisingly it was no other than Guren himself. Shinya sat up, Guren leaned down, "Hey are you alright?"
