I freaked out and ran up the stairs, slightly tipsy from the combinations of drinks I ingested in the last 6 hours.
Steven spotted me before I could even open my mouth.
"What the fuck do you think your doing?!" he was pissed.
"I'm just coming home. I went out for a little bit. What's wrong?" I asked him.
He shot me a wild eyed look. This didn't look like the Steven that made sweet love to me a few short hours ago. "So you think you can just get up and go out whenever the fuck you want?" he hissed at me.
"I just went out." I pleaded with him. "I was really bored. I didn't want to interrupt your writing. You were busy."
"I saw you coming off of Harvard Avenue. Where the fuck did you go Janie? To meet your little boyfriend from school?" he spat venom at me.
I shook my head in disgust. Did Steven really think I would go back to school and meet up with Zach? Why did I even tell him about it.
"I didn't fucking see anyone." I snapped back at him. "I went to the bar and had a drink. Is that such a crime?"
"So you can just go off and do whatever the fuck you want?" he stepped closer to me. "Your mine, Janie. You can't just go out by yourself anymore" he was pissed. "Let's go down to Harvard Ave. Take a look at whose down there at 8 o'clock in the fucking morning. Fucking cunt."
Normally, I'd have no problem asserting myself, but this was Steven. Steven made me act in strange ways I've never seen before. I mustered up some courage. This wasn't my Steven. This was the cocaine.
"Go fuck yourself!" I sneered at him and started to walk inside our apartment. All of the guys were sitting in the living room, all set up to practice.
If this is what Steven Tyler was like, I didn't know if I could do it anymore.
I grabbed a few sets of clothes and my wallet and stormed out the door. I'll teach him to talk to me like that.
Steven's POV
"Dude I just wrote these kick ass lyrics. They're about Elyssa." I laughed.
Tom grabbed the paper out of my hand and read them aloud:
"Talk about things and nobody cares
Wearing out things that nobody wears
Calling my name but I gotta make clear"
We thought for a half hour about the next line, making fun of Elyssa. We finally got the next line.
"I can't say baby where I'll be in a year"
Genius. Tom Hamilton was a genius.
"Let's take a break. I need a line" I told Tom.
I walked into my bedroom, expecting to find my girlfriend passed out asleep. She was gone.
"Janie?" I called her name.
I walked out on the balcony and through the whole house calling her name.
"Janie? Baby?" No response. Where the fuck is she?
I went back into the living room where the whole band was setting up for practice.
"Janie's fucking gone" I told them. They looked at me, unconcerned.
Where the hell could she be? I thought carefully. What was that pricks name that hits on her at school? Zach? That was it. He's fucking dead.
