As I'm sitting with my mom the WNBA commissioner has announced the first 10 players drafted said and thought to myself did I make the right decision leaving college early Or was this all a big mistake.
The WNBA commissioner steps up to the podium and announces the 18th pick in the second round the Golden State rush select Kyndal De'Bardi 5'4 shooting guard from the university of South Carolina.
I get up from my seat And hug my mom before walking towards the stage.
The commissioner hands me A blue and red Jersey The reads RUSH across the front and the # 1 on the back.
I say to myself down the real work begins.
The rush was the WNBA affiliate to the NBA golden warriors.
This is the teams first year and Due to the due to the WNBA expansion.
Kyndal being drafted by the Rush understood the pressure placed on her shoulders gonna have to come in to the WNBA and produce immediately there was no time for player development.
Fast forward two weeks later
Kyndal walked into the gym meeting her teammates for the first time.

Hi I'm Jade Owens she said with a enthusiastic tone.
Kyndal I said and we shook hands nice to meet you I said Same jade said.
I asked So what position do you play PG she said. She looked familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
She spoke again to Baylor we played against you in the championship.
Everything immediately clicked in my head that's what I remember her from how could I forget.
OMG i'm so sorry The game was one big blur but I remember know.
She laughed together while we waited on the rest of the team to arrive in star practice we put up shots and played one 1v1.

Soon we took a break what is the rest of our team started to arrive and we made our coach Dawn Staley.
Dawn Staley Who is South Carolina's former coach and also a former WNBA player she was a no nonsense coach.

As the whole team is running She yells " Kyndal and Jade pick up the pace your guards no post players" .
I know who dawn was because she had some interesting things to say about me during a press conference.
She called me a one dimensional plane who couldn't score without the help of others.
When I first saw the interview it piss me off because you're a whole 52 year old talking about a 21 year old like ur weird but ok.
Later on that week we had played her South Carolina team where we blew them out by 30 and I had a career high with 45 points.
I might have took her worlds a little personal because during the whole game after every 3 and contest layup I would look over at her bench and celebrate.
We never really spoke after the game we just shook hands and she went on our way.
After that game I did an interview and was asked about the comments that she made I said " yeah of course I took her comments personally she talking about how I was the one Dimensional player so I showed out tonight." I told the interviewers.
