The next morning, I woke up with a migraine.
It's something that happens often when I don't get enough sleep, the reason for my lack of sleep? Johnny.
No not in that way, I wish.
I kept thinking about our ~almost~ kiss. I kept wondering what would've happened if Travis hadn't interrupted, would we have kissed? Would he have pulled away, or would I have pulled away?
Honestly, I knew I wouldn't have.
I didn't even bother to change out of my pajamas, i chugged my water, wrapped a blanket around me, and went on a hunt for some Advil.
At this point, the migraine was throbbing, and the bright sun shining through the various windows of the house wasn't helping my situation.
I went into the kitchen to see if I could find Johnny, but he wasn't there. It wasn't that early, it was 10am.
"Johnny?" I called out,
No answer.
I began looking for the Advil myself, but to no avail. So, I ended up wandering around the house like a lost child.
I searched for Johnny in the office, not there.
I looked upstairs in his bedroom, not there.
I didn't rush out if his bedroom though, I sticked around a while, admiring his taste in decor.
He had a black and red silk bed set, very vampire-esque. I guess his character in Dark Shadows must have stuck with him, I giggled to myself.
"What's funny?" Johnny said.
"Jeeeeeesus" I gasped, putting my hand on my head as his sudden appearance scared me, making the throbbing worse.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to invade your privacy, I was just looking for you." I said shyly.
"No worries, I was in the shed getting the materials prepared for todays lesson... you alright there darling?" Johnny asked, noticing my hand on my head.
"Yeah, I will be at least after a couple Advil, it's just one of my migraines." I replied
"Shit, I'm sorry love, I don't carry Advil in the house, or any pills for that matter," he answered with a hint of shame.
"Oh.." I began,
I remembered reading about his struggle with addictions in an article or two.
"Yknow what, it's not even that bad, I'm sure I can power through it, I've done it before" I smiled, lying straight through my teeth.
"You sure? I can have Travis go get some, it's no problem." He offered
"No, really it's fine, I'm gonna go get changed, meet you in the shed?" I asked, making my way to the door
"Sounds good love," he smiled at me.
I loved his smile.
I went back to my room, changed into green corduroy shorts, and a cropped, black shirt. I clipped my hair up into a ponytail, put on my slides, and sunglasses and went down to the shed.

"You ready for the first lesson?" Johnny remarked excitedly.
"Readier than ever" I said.
The shed was like a mini garage, it had a paint splattered cement floor, wooden plank walls, and the door was basically a garage door, which he kept open.
There were two seats, and one easel with an empty canvas in the middle of the room.
Walking into the shed, I noticed there were several easels holding his paintings, they were truly amazing works of art. He had one that included 4 squares, each depicting a different movie character he has played.
He also had another of his daughter, Lily.
"These paintings are really, really good Johnny" I said in awe.
"How long did it take you to make each one?" I asked

"Hmm, maybe around a few days? It really depends on my schedule, and how much time I had available to spend on them per day"
I nodded in acknowledgement, still admiring his painting of his daughter.
"That's my little girl Lily," he said, walking up next to me.
"You did a good job capturing her beauty," I complimented.
He grinned, "Yeah, she got that beauty from her mother,"
Johnny spoke so highly of his family, even his ex-wife. I couldn't help but smile at his sweetness.
"Well then, let's begin!" He said, leading me to the chair in front of the canvas.
"What would you like to paint today?" He asked
"Well, i've never painted faces, and you seem really good at it, so maybe we can start with that?" I suggested.
"All right, faces it is" he said.
Johnny had set another canvas next to mine, I would be following along with his painting as he instructed me on what to do.
The migraine was still throbbing, I had hoped after sitting down and being distracted on drawing it would've died down, but due to the sunlight, it only got worse.
I began to feel sick, like I need to throw up.
The migraine had gotten worse, my mouth had started to water, and I was getting that familiar salty taste in my mouth.
I couldn't hold it in any longer
"Excuse me" I said, running out of the shed, covering my moth with my hand.
As soon as I got outside, I went to the side of the shed and threw up yesterdays dinner.
Throwing up made my migraine worse, and I started to get dizzy, I slid down the side of the shed to try and catch my breath, and control the nausea .
"Fuck, Bianca are you alright?" Johnny rushed to me urgently.
"Don't come over here, just stay over there, I'll be fine I just need a moment." I insisted.
"No, you're not fine, I'm taking you to bed" Johnny came closer to me and began to reach down to carry me.
"No, no it's fine I can walk." I said
The last time I was carried was when I was 6, and I felt awkward having him carry me, not that I wouldn't like it...

Johnny helped me up, and as soon as I got up, the throbbing started attacking my head again, making me lose balance.
"Yeah no, i'm carrying you inside"
Before I could say no again, Johnny had placed one arm under my legs, and the other under my back, and picked me up with ease.
Even with the migraine, I couldn't say I wasn't a little turned on by how easily he picked me up.
Johnny even carried me all the way up the stairs, how his 58 year old self could do that? Don't know, but damn was he strong.
Johnny gently placed me on my bed, and then ordered Travis to go get Advil.
I noticed after a few minutes of laying in my bed, that Johnny was still in the room.
"You don't have to stay here, I'm okay now" I assured him.
"Darling, the last two times you said you were okay, you weren't. So I'll stay" He playfully said.
I felt bad just having him stand there watching me, so, I scooted over to the edge of the bed.
"Well, if you're gonna be in here, you can sit down if you want." I said
"Are you sure? I don't want to make you uncomfortable." He questioned.
"Johnny, I just threw up in your backyard, the least I could do is offer you a seat" I laughed.
Johnny smiled as he made his way to the other side of the bed, I was laying down, turned to where I was facing him.
Johnny had pulled out a book from his pocket and began to read it, it looked like a book of poems.
I snuck a peek at Johnny, he looked so beautiful sitting there, just reading, with his hair falling to the side of his face. A furrowed brow as he read his little pocket book.
I positioned my head in a way that made the throbbing less severe, once I found a good position. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep next to Johnny.
