Emma's POV:
I woke up the next morning with a clear mind. I went to get dressed. After that, I brushed my hair and left it down. Then, I went downstairs to get something to eat. For breakfast, I thought my dad was still asleep. After I heard footsteps, it was my dad—so much for my cover being blown. "What are you doing home? You're suppose to be in college," I heard my dad say. I replied, "Yeah, well, something came up, and I had to come home." "Like what?" he asked. "You and Jake got in a fight." "No," I said. "I would never fight with him," I added. "That still doesn't explain why you're home," I heard my dad say. I just walked away. "Hey, get back here!" I heard my dad call after me. But I kept on walking.

Thomas Magnum's POV:
That was weird; Emma just walked away from me, as if she was annoyed or uninterested. I hope she's alright, but it still doesn't explain why she's home from college. I mean, she graduates in a few weeks, and she needs to be there to earn her credits so she can graduate. I hope everything is okay between her and Jake. Whatever it is that's going on with Emma, the fact that she's not telling me is making me worried. If she won't tell me, then I'll just find out myself. If she's not going to tell me herself.
