I drove to FPs house and to my surprise, Betty opened the door. She looked like she just woke up as she smiled and invited me in. I looked around, seeing no one in the living room.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, Juggy and FP went to the store."

"Are you staying here?"

"Yeah, my brother- well half brother- was making me uncomfortable. I asked if I could crash here for a while so maybe my mom will come to her senses."

"Oh." I nodded. "Wait, half brother? That's a revaluation I hadn't heard about."

"Yeah, my mom had him like twenty five years ago and he just came back into our lives."

"So, he isn't Hal's?"

She shook her head. I could see an almost regretting face flash over her as I connected the dots.

"Oh." I breathed.

"Nova, it was years ago and... he doesn't know."

"Oh." I sighed again, not understand my own feelings.

The door opened as her and I both turned quickly to see the Jones guys walking in.

"Nova?" Jughead tilted his head in confusion. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh I, I came by to uh..." I stumbled over my own words as I looked between the three of them.

"She came by to give FP his schedule for Pops. There was a couple of changes."

"Oh," Jughead nodded, walking toward the kitchen. "It's good to see you again!"

I smiled and nodded back to him as Betty smiled softly and joined him. FP raised his eye brows and gestured to the front door. I walked out with him, standing by my car.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I just wanted to see you but I didn't know."

"It's okay." He rubbed my arm before dropping it to my side again.

"It's sweet of you to let Betty stay like this."

"Well, coming from a father who watched his son be homeless so he didn't have to sleep under the same roof as me... I wanted her to at least be safe. Sure, it's cramped, sleeping on a pull out with Jughead isn't ideal but this is her home as long as she needs it."

"You're a beautiful person, Forsyth Pendleton Jones the second." He smiled as I pulled him into a hug. I held him tightly as I thought of the knowledge I had. If He and Alice had a kid I couldn't stop them from becoming a thing again, just as I feared deep in my mind and I wouldn't. "And an amazing father."

"I don't know about amazing." He chuckled lightly.

I shook my head as I pulled away. "Better everyday and that's the point. Listen, I've got to run but I'll see you later?"

He nodded, kissing my forehead quickly as he held my waist. "See you."

I drove away as he waved goodbye in my rearview mirror. FP was the only guy, man, person, I'd ever loved like this. Sure, I'd had crushes on my friends in the past and the occasional girl in science class in tenth grade but this was completely different and new to me. I didn't know how to handle loosing him and I didn't know if I would but I knew I needed to be prepared.

The next morning during my shared shift with FP at pops, I watched my heart strings snap as he sat beside of Alice. Jughead and Betty sat in front of them as they quietly spoke. FP looked defeated as everyone seemed to argue.
