Chapter 9 - Dark and Light Angels

The next day Hermione woke up grinning from ear to ear. She was dating Bellatrix. It was crazy how someone she had just met so recently was the source of happiness and comfort that Hermione had not felt in such a long while. Ever since her father died, she had felt like a part of her was closed off and had been left cold and dark. Her mother getting dementia made that part close up even more and consume the happiness she used to find in the little things. Bellatrix was somehow able to make that part of her blossom and come alive, once again.

She leapt out of bed with a pep in her step, threw on the hoodie she wore the night of the massage and some black leggings. She went upstairs to grab a cup of spearmint tea for herself and a cup of green tea for her girlfriend, since she preferred tea on the weekends when waking up. 'Wow, my girlfriend.' She headed downstairs to wake said girlfriend with their drinks in hand. She nearly had a heart attack when the door opened so suddenly before her and she was pulled inside with a yelp. The two drinks were removed from her hands with precision and she was met with an impatient kiss. "I've been waiting for that since last night, pet. You're driving me mad with exaltation, Hermione." Bellatrix picked up the drinks once again, handing Hermione hers, and sipping her own.

"Do you have any plans for the weekend, or would you like to spend some time with your newly wed girlfriend?"

"I'm pretty sure that's not how you use the term 'newly wed' but I would be honored to spend my time with you, Bellatrix."

"Good, because I plan on making out with you during Carol because last time I had to hold back... Now that we are a thing, I can claim what is mine." That goddamn smirk.

The group ate a peaceful breakfast, with Hermione and Bellatrix sitting even closer together than usual, holding hands under the table.

"What is going on with you two? You seem even more cuddly than you normally are." Narcissa tried to hide her knowing smirk as she asked the two of them the question.

"They're obviously fucking." Tonks said, causing Andromeda to choke on her oatmeal.

"Language!"

"Well, they look like it." Tonks eyed them suspiciously waiting for an answer.

"Actually Tonks, we are not 'fucking' as you so plainly stated, we are dating and continuing to get to know each other. When the time comes for 'fucking' it will come without any of you needing to stick your noses into our business." Bellatrix went back to eating her cheerios, placing a possessive hand on Hermione's knee.

"Well congratulations to you two. Pay up Cissy." Andromeda placed her open hand out for Narcissa to give her money.

"You two placed a bet on us?!?" Hermione asked exasperatedly.

"Well yes, Narcissa said Bellatrix wouldn't have the courage to ask you out for a month, but I said she'd do it in less than three weeks." She had a cat-like grin which showed the similarities between her and the eldest Black sister even more.

"If we are done here, Hermione and I are going to go downstairs and discuss our plans for the weekend." Bellatrix drank the liquid left from her cereal and Hermione turned to look at Bellatrix with a concerned look on her face.

"Is... that... coffee in your cereal?"

"Two birds, one stone, love." Bellatrix shrugged and got up to place her bowl in the sink and pulled Hermione unceremoniously out of her seat to head downstairs.

"What's the rus-" Hermione was pushed back against the hallway wall. Bellatrix placed one hand up next to the younger woman's head, and the other on her hip, rubbing ever so slightly. She whispered into Hermione's ear, "I have an addiction, and you're the only cure." She nipped her ear lobe and placed hot open-mouthed kisses on Hermione's neck, making her groan out in ecstasy. "Bella..." "Fuck, if you say my name like that again, I'm going to ravish you right here." Their lips clashed leaving each other breathless after several kisses. "Now let's go watch that movie, pet."
