Description:
We all know that Hilda manages to get herself into an adventure every time she steps foot outside. But what about those who are left back home? What is their day like without Hilda?

==========

3rd Person POV

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you to David's house?" Johanna asks while preparing Hilda's snack

"It's alright mum! I'll just walk" Hilda says as she puts on her shoes. She swiftly grabs the paper bag her mum prepared for her and then she dashes for the door "bye mum!" Hilda yells before shutting the door on Twig. The poor deer-fox was left behind once again, and Twig could only sit down in front of the door to wait for Hilda's return

Johanna didn't even get to say goodbye to her own child and that made her sigh in frustration. Johanna noticed that Hilda has been more secretive lately, and she couldn't help but worry more and more each day. She didn't know if this was normal. She asks herself if she's being over-protective, controlling, or even that maybe she's worrying too much.

She didn't know...

"Are you alright, Mum?" Alfur asks, seemingly to appear out of nowhere "oh, it's nothing." She answers rather quickly

Although Alfur did not believe her one bit, he lets it slide for now. The elf didn't know what was worrying Johanna so much, but whatever it was, he chose to distract her from it "it's Sunday! Are we going grocery shopping today?" He asks

Johanna pauses "hmm..... Well, we are running out of supplies..." "So it's a yes?" Alfur asks

Johanna smiled "yes. I'll make a list and get ready" Alfur jumps down from her shoulder and onto the counter "And I'll ask Tontu if he wants to come along!"

Tontu's head popped out from under the couch to answer "no thanks, I'm staying behind" and then he proceeds to go back to nowhere space

"Alright then..." Alfur mutters to himself

Johanna entered the grocery store and approached one of the shopping carts, she reaches into her purse for the grocery list but she frowns when she doesn't find the paper

She starts rummaging through her purse and pockets "I think I forgot the list.." She whispers to herself. Alfur pops out from behind her ear "don't worry! I wrote it down in case you forgot" he assured, making Johanna sigh in relief

She receive the very tiny paper from Alfur and could barely read what was written down. When Alfur notices her struggles, he reaches for the piece of paper "it's alright! I can just read it out loud to you" he tells her

Everything went surprisingly normal for the two as they put things in the cart, even though they were completely oblivious to the things that were happening from Hilda's perspective

They might've run into a few problems, like how they couldn't find where a few aisles were, or how one of the items they needed was out of stock, and even Alfur fell off Johanna's shoulder so she spent thirty minutes looking for the small elf

But overall, it was normal.

When they got home, Johanna put away the groceries and Tontu helped her out. Then after that, Johanna went straight to her workspace and started doing the work she needed to finish up this week
