I stood there confused as Dominic and Ember yelled at each other. What could they possibly be arguing about? A single tear fell down Ember's eyes and as she began to process what Dominic had said to her, she fainted as Alexander catches her before she hits the concrete ground.
"Ember!" I yelled with such worry.
"What the fuck was that? What did you say to her?!" exclaimed Elias to Dominic as he checks on Ember.
Alexander gently picks Ember up and takes her to his room since it was the closest. As Alexander began to walk away, I picked up my phone and dialled our doctor.
SHE'S NOT COMING BACK
The doctor asked me and my brothers to wait outside and surprisingly Alexander was determined to stay by Ember's side. After a lot of yelling, Alexander agreed to wait outside, leaving the doctor to do his job.
"What happened to Ember being the enemy, Alex?" Elias joked around.
"If any of you dumbasses tell her what I did tonight, I will personally make it my mission to make your lives a living hell." Blurted Alexander.
I knew he'd come around
As we sat on the ground waiting for the doctor to come out, my father entered the room.
"I left you alone for 4 fucking days and you idiots couldn't manage to keep your sister safe." Shouted Stefano.
"Dad it was unavoidable. She just fainted out of the blue." I answered calmly.
"Would a healthy person just faint out of the blue? Obviously, something must've happened for her to fucking faint." Dad shouted back as he glares at me harshly.
Thankfully the doctor came out saving me from my father's wrath.
"Mr.D'Angelo, could I speak privately to you. It's concerning your daughter."
"Just say whatever you want to say to us all." Alexander blurted.
"Yeah, is my Em going to be alright?" Questioned Elias.
The doctor looked at my dad, waiting for his approval to tell us about Ember's health. When my dad nodded his head yes, we all stood up, anxious.
"Okay, how do I say this. Ember Ricchi-"
Before the doctor could finish his sentence, Alexander cut in.
"Ember D'Angelo. She's not a fucking Ricchi."
"Sorry about that. Uhm. Ember D'angelo has suffered major hits to her body. Her rib is bruised up, has a fractured arm with cuts and bruises all over her body. I'm not sure how she survived but there are purplish-black bruises all over her body."
Everyone tensed up thinking about what has happened to Ember. Even Dominic has a worried expression on his face.
"The reason for her fainting was because she had a mild hit to the head. I would like to get her an x-ray to ensure that there is no internal bleeding in her head but as if right now it appears she just has a small bruise that will go away in a couple of weeks." Stated the doctor.
We all stared at each other in shock. Who the fuck hurt my sorella? Alexander and Giovanna stared at each other in shock and walked out of the room in anger.
"Doctor, she woke up." announced the nurse as she ran back into the room where my sister is in.
Ember
I woke up with a huge headache and my entire body sore. Before I could process what the fuck was going on my family and Dominic stormed into my room.
"Ember what is going on? Why did the doctor inform me that you have bruises all over your body? How did you get them? Actually Don't answer that. I want to know who the fuck had the nerve to lay a hand on you? Who did this to you Em? I'll inflict greater pain onto them." My father continued giving me a lecture as my brothers looked at me with hurt in their eyes.
"Papa, I'm alright." A smile appeared on my face. "I just fell off my motorcycle and got hurt."
"Ember. Principessa. Please tell me. I couldn't protect you for 19 years please let me protect you now." A beat. "It's him, isn't it? He hurt you."
I looked at my father and then my brothers.
They know everything now.
"Papa, just like you said. For 19 years you didn't protect me, I protected myself. Believe me when I say I have this under control." A laugh escaped my mouth. "I mean they don't call me the famous Ember Ricchi for nothing," I said locking eyes with Dominic.
Before anyone could say anything the twins, Alexander and Giovanna burst through the door.
"Who the fuck is Reid?" Both Alexander and Giovanna said simultaneously.
Oh shit.
Before I could answer Dominic walked toward me. "Ember I need to know what happened to my girlfriend. I need to know what happened to Luna."
"Dominic, I-I'm so sorry but I-I killed her."
