HI everyone! Just a disclaimer that this is the 12th chapter of The Boyfriend Swap. The original book has 11 chapters and this is the continuation from that. I figured that it might create confusion so I've mentioned this here.

They were back to their usual routine again. Everything was normal with Taehyung at office and Jungkook at home, waiting for him to come back. However, Jungkook had a hard time concentrating in class due to the encounter with Jaehyun at the carnival two days earlier. He thought he'd be fine and wouldn't bother over such a trivial matter but he soon realised that was easier said than done because it was no trivial matter at all.

It was like that one look at Jaehyun's face reminded him of all his past experiences. This led him to have two restless nights in a row and him zoning out in class which was a first considering how brilliant of a student he was. He did try taking his mind off his intrusive thoughts by keeping himself busy with things like colouring or playing some board games while he was at home. He baked some red velvet cookies while he was at it.

He made some extra ones for Jimin and Namjoon for he planned to visit them tomorrow. The slight sound of the notification from his phone brought him back to reality. He pulled his phone out to see a message hoping to see a message from Taehyung only to frown when he saw a text from an unknown number.

Hey Jungkook, it was nice seeing you at the carnival :)

Jungkook:

Ummm.. Do I know you? Did we meet at the carnival?

Jungkook pouted as he didn't recall meeting anyone new at the carnival. He kept pondering until he finally got an idea about who it might be. But before he could do anthing, another message came in,

You forgot already? I'm kinda offended lol

Anyways, it's me Jaehyun.

Jungkook:

Oh no, please don't feel offended. I did recognize you, it's just.. it took me a while,

since I didn't really have your number saved.

Without wasting a second, Jungkook quickly saved the number as "Jaehyunie".

Jaehyunie:

Oh wait, I totally forgot that it was only me who took your number.

I'm sorry for scaring you off like that, it was must have been creepy for you

to receive a message from an unknown number.

Jungkook:

Well, when you put it like that, I was kinda confused but then I did recognize you.

What made you text me? Did you have something in mind?

Jaehyunie:

Nothing much tbh, I was just thinking, maybe we could catch up with coffee?

It's been too long since I actually met with someone from school.
