Jan Di got her hand out from his and left the cabin. It was night but patients were still there. She went to see them. As she saw them, she wiped her tears. " I have to be strong." She told herself with a resolve on her face.
A month went by,
Jan Di was standing outside Ji Hu's cabin. Everytime she sees him, she gets a weird feeling she doesn't know to fight with.
She knocked
" Come in."
" Sir, Ms Jung, gave the papers that you asked for."
As he heard the voice, Ji Hu looked up with some hope in his eyes.
" Keep it here Se Ri sshi. Thank you so much. Also can you please explain to me the chart and why this heavy dosage of medicine was used for the patient in room no. 1601."
Jan Di explained the chart to him.
After that she wanted to leave but she sat.
" Are you free for 10 minutes?"
Ji Hu smiled, it was the first time in a month she was going to talk to him something other than things asked to her.
" Yes, please go ahead." He said to hide his excitement.
" I was upset with you and a part of me is still angry about everything. But I thought about it, I tried to put myself in your shoes. I...I am trying to understand. It still hurts that you tried to control my life, but I still care for you a lot and not talking to you is painful right now."
" Jan Di, I didn't mean to control your life. I was really scared that you would die and I mean it. Jun Pyo's mom was so desperate to save her company that she declared his alive bed ridden comatose father dead. Rumours about your relationship with him were very harmful for the Shinye group. You were hurting daily. You were working on roads, away from your family. She destroyed your house, you wouldn't take anyone's help, not even mine or Ga Eul's. I just wanted you to live the life that you were living before all this fiasco. I never meant anything else. I am so sorry."
He went close to her and caressed her face, as he wiped her tears with his little fingers. His face was getting closer to hers' so she flinched back. He smiled at her reaction. She was staring at him.
" Han Se Ri sshi, I thought you had work to do."
She went closer to him and hugged him.
" Thank you for being my firefighter and always thinking about me. And I know that you ask me random questions related to dosage to check my knowledge. " She winked at him.
He hugged her tightly and without realising he kissed her forehead.
Jan Di was taken aback by that. She felt a bit uncomfortable.
She got off the hug and went out of the cabin.
She stood by the door. Ji Hu would hug her, touch her face, kiss her on the forehead all the time when they were in highschool but she was so ignorant to notice anything.
She took a deep breath and mumbled, " He has feelings for me." I cannot keep leading him on."
