A/N- The band at the top is one I just found. It's called Silent Pilots. They're pretty good. They seem like something Daley would listen to. They have that Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Panic! At The Disco, feel to them, but also have a poppish side. Check them out sometime, like now.

I fell asleep after Danny started driving again, the events of the day absorbing me. I had a few dreams, but none of them I can remember. When we get to Marissa's house, I go up and knock on the door, still groggy from sleep. I could feel dried blood caked on my cheek.

I hear Marissa walk to the door, sounding like she stumbled and fell, and finally opened the door. She had dyed her hair recently, it was a bright, like as in neon red. She still had her nerd glasses, making her look adorable. "Hey Mar.", I say, hugging her tightly. She hadn't really changed that much in the 3 years, still had her braces, still had the same NIRVANA shirt, that I had tried to steal multiple times, failing each time. "Daley! Oh my God, what happened to your face? Did Paul do this?", she asked, I knew she would be even more mad at him when I told her what happened, because she used to date Paul, until he cheated on her with one of the flashy cheerleaders.

I told her, and at the end of it, she was clenching her fists, mad as I'd ever seen her before. She knew about how dad had beat me, I'd told her and only her about it. "Can I please kick his ever so regretful ass to Pluto?", she asked, making me giggle. "C'mon, before we kick anyone's ass, I need to wash my face.", I say, cause my face felt greasy as fuck.

As soon as I entered her house, I felt out of place. He living room looked like her old bedroom. Band posters everywhere, a Justin Bieber dart board, and, my favorite, the CD player I got her in 2nd grade. Still the same color pink as Luke Hemmings' bright pink speakers. "Daley, what's on your arm?", she asks as I roll up my sleeve. Fuck! I'd forgotten about those. "N-Nothing Mar. Just nothing.", I say, to fast, and I could tell she didn't believe me. "Let me see them.", she said, calmly, but demanding. I gave her my arm, shuddering as her hand hit the raised skin. "You self harm?", she said, just barely over a whisper. I just nodded, not being able to form words.

She had tears brimming in her eyes, and they started spilling over. "Don't. You remember how everyone was saying that our friend Kara had died from being shot? Yes, she did die from a bullet wound to the head, but it wasn't murder, it was suicide. She had started self harming about a year before and she got bullied for it, and......And it got to much.", she said, her tears spilling over at top speed.

I had knew that Kara had been shot, but not that she'd committed. I knew that she had scars, but she just said that her cat made them, of course, that's an excuse I use also, so I know that one is now a lie. Now that I look back, I can see that she did a lot of the same stuff I've found myself doing. Taking hate to the fullest extent, withdrawing myself from everyone, long sleeves constantly, way to many bracelets, some from bands she didn't even like, and then the 'cat' excuse.

"Who's Kara?", Danny asked, and I had forgot he was even here with us. "S-She was a girl in our class when we were about 14. She didn't show up at school one day, and the next thing we know, our teacher comes in saying that she was never coming back. Only Mrs. Breckwoods said that she had been murdered. And we never thought about it, because yes we knew of self harm, but had never actually seen self harm scars before on one of our friends. When we asked her about them, she said the same thing I told you when you had seen I'd relapsed, 'A cat got me.'. Of course we believed her, we were 13 or 14, and never thought anything of it.", I say, and the tears had started falling from my eyes, and I could tell that Danny was about to start crying.

"So, this girl killed herself, and no one ever thought anything of it?", he asked. "Not exactly. Her mom said she'd been murdered, and so that's what the office told Mrs. Breckwoods to tell us.", I said, and he went and sat on the couch that was conveniently placed under a Silent Pilot poster. "You know who's gonna be playing the pre-show for Green Day all this tour?", Marissa asked, and I just shrugged. "Freaking SP! I mean, of course I knew that they could, might, probably couldn't get that far, I never actually believed it.", she said, on the verge of fangirling. "Wait, so that one band that you got me hooked on that I said sounded like Fall Out Boy kind of the first time I heard it? OH MY GOD! This reminds me, guess what Danny got me for my birthday.", I say. She thinks for a while.  "Green Day tickets?", she asked, skeptical, and I just nodded my head yes. "AHHHHHH! REALLY!!!!!! I wish I could go.", she said, sadly.

I look over at Danny who's sprawled out across the couch, almost asleep. "Babe?", I say loud enough for him to hear me. "Yeah.", he mumbles, barely audible. "Can Mar get a Green Day ticket?", I ask, sweetly. "I bought 3. I knew she'd want to go. So I just got her one.", he says in reply. "I'M GONNA SEE SILENT PILOT! OHMYGOD! DAYLE, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?", she asks, and I just said, "What?", in my best enthusiastic voice. "I get to see my 2 favorite bands at the same concert! You're freaking amazing." "I know.", I said. "By the way, the concert is in 3 days", I finish.
