Brandi Hargrove never was the brightest. In fact she was very stubborn as agreed her 5th grade English teacher every time she fought him on why she couldn't grow up to be the chief of police someday. In her defence he was being extremely sexist but that's no excuse for her to have done what she did after that. The details aren't that important but we'll learn about them soon enough. Her father on the other hand well she wasn't stubborn when it came to him. It's strange when you think about her mother with how calm, gentle and angelic as she was, how could she end up with such a rampaging monster? Neil was always a drinker. His favourite thing to have at 8am every morning was a cold glass of brandy. Thats where the name originates from. A fucking liquor bottle. Her mum originally called her Brenda but when she passed her dad mistook her name for Brandi and got quite aggressive when anyone tried to correct him, so she stuck with it. Billy her twin brother definitely took it hard when there mother left. He distanced himself from everyone and his grades dropped massively but he was always there for his sister when she needed him. After all she was the last thing he considered to be family. Billy definitely got it worse from there father mostly because he took the blame for Brandi whenever she screwed up. Better him than her he'd always say. Well, until about 5 years ago when Neil decided it was time to settle down again. He met a redhead named Susan. She had a daughter her name was Maxine, max for short. Billy hated the idea of starting fresh he didn't want a new family he wanted his mom back. But when Brandi started treating max like a sister and Susan like a mother that's when the betrayal truly sunk in. He was mean to everyone and started to look more like his father than he would ever like to admit. Everything was changing for everyone and it was all just getting more screwed up by the second. And trust me moving to a small town called Hawkins in Indiana didn't help any of them. Although there was one thing brandi got out of this shit hole even if he is just a fluffy haired babysitter who works in an ice cream shop on the weekends.
