"Alrighty, kids, what's on the agenda today? Anything good old man?" Your brother Tony says as he sits so incorrectly in a chair.

"Tony sit up straight, and nothing new today. Everybody's free to do as they please." Say the star-spangled man with a plan.

"Sir, yes, sir!" Tony says as he's saluting. "J.A.R.V.I.S!"

"Yes, Mr. Stark?"

"Invite Pepper to my lab, I have a question for her..."

"Right away, sir." The A.I responds.

"Dude, when are you gonna see that she's just not into you?" You ask your dumbass of a brother "Plus she's the best P.A you've had, like, ever."

"Oh, she's into me, she's just playing hard to get." You and anyone that could hear your conversation visibly cringed at his sentence.

"Bro. Worst sentence ever known to mankind. Don't say that bullshit again."

"Whatever, you're just too stupid to see it."

"I made the blueprints for this tower and the compound."

"Whatever, I'm the billionaire."

"I'm an actual humanitarian and a doctor."

"Ohhh, Dr.Stark is in the building!"

"Shut up, I'll see you later I have shit to do unlike other people" you glare at your idiot of a brother "before the party."

"Bye Dr.Stark!"

Little while before the party.

"Hey, Virginia!" You say trying to grab your crush's attention.

"Dr. Stark, I've told you to just call me 'Pepper'" She says while giggling which makes your cheeks flush and your stomach turns into a gymnast.

You walk closer to her, "And I've told you to just call me y/n/n. But neither of us likes to play by the rules, now do we?" You say still moving towards her, then you swiftly turn to move beside her towards the fridge.

Of course, you didn't notice but Pepper was having major gay panic.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to attend the party with me?" You questioned with hope.

"Uhm, I, uh, ahem.." The gorgeous strawberry blonde stutters out.

"Are you nervous darling?" The older of the two Starks asks, in a quiet tone.

"No, no, why- why would I be nervous Dr. Stark?" The slightly younger woman asks.

"I wouldn't know, Virginia" You say while smirking.

She goes to say her preferred nickname but then realizes that she didn't follow yours so she stops herself.

"HEY! STOP FLIRTING WITH MY ASSISTANT!" Your cockblock of a brother interrupts your 'situation'.

"Like you don't already!" You quip back. He quickly glares at you and then soon returns to his lab.

"So, my point of this conversation was to ask you if you'd like to attend the party tonight with me?" You ask before sipping your apple juice (superior juice).

"Uhm, would this be informal? Or business related?" She says, answering another question.

"Whatever you'd like hun" you say with a smirk.

A light blush quickly appears and disappears but she says "You would be my superior in this situation, ma'am, so frankly, it's up to you."

Whilst taken aback, you weren't too surprised, she was Virginia Potts, after all, I mean come on.

"Oh, sweetie, please I insist. You know what? Here, I'll pick you up at 6:30, then on the way to the party you can decide."

After yet another form of blush rises and falls from her face, she responds with "Alright then, Dr.Sta- y/n/n."

"Now that sounds much better, doesn't it?" You say whilst getting closer to her then swiftly walking away.

"fuck" you hear her mutter under her breath which makes you grin like an idiot.

"J.A.R.V.I.S!" Tony calls out, "tell Pep to come here please!".

"You asked for me, sir?" The strawberry blonde quickly appears.

"Yeah," He sets down his latest toy and walks closer to her (but not as hot as us), "Do you want to go to my party later? With me, that is?"

"Apologies, Tony, but your sibling has already invited me." She says confidently.

"Okay?" He says back like your invitation means nothing.

"Translation for you little brother, it means no. Didn't you ever get taught about consent?" You say striding into the room with some papers.

"Here are those blueprints for the new building." You finish your entrance off with.

You turn slightly to greet Pepper silently with a nod, and she's blushing while smiling back at you. Of course, Tony takes note and steps (literally) away from Pepper.

"Thank you" She hesitates, "y/n/n."

While almost melting at her saying your nickname, you respond with "No problem, Tony is generally a major dick most times."
She laughs and you swear it made your insides flip around.

"Is that, Dr.Stark, (gasping) blushing?" She says jokingly.

"Huh? Where? I don't see them." You say back laughing.
