Ollie felt his body being carried by 2 people or things. He could hear some of them talking. There were others around. He couldn't distinguish the voices and knew none of them were familiar to him.

"Careful, he's still alive." He heard a gentle but authoritative voice say.

"Are you sure, he looks pretty dead to me. I mean, have you seen how high he fell?" A shy voice asked.

"Daniel, you klutz! You do see him breathing, don't you?" A feminine voice asked.

"Don't raise your voice at me, please." The one named Daniel said in a shy and humble manner.

"You're right, I'm sorry." The previous voice replied back.

Ollie felt the ones carrying him lay him down and then wrap something on him. A blanket perhaps. Ollie started to slowly open his eyes.

"Oh look! His eyes are opening!" Daniel said.

"I guess he is alive." Another voice said. This voice sounded lonely and gloomy.

Ollie opened his eyes. But when he did, they widened in surprise and fear.

"Oh, I don't like that face." Daniel said in a cowardly way.

Ollie backed away from the things that stood before him quickly. His breath was hard and heavy as he panted in fear.

"Stay away! Just stay away, I warn you!" Ollie threatened. The things just stared at him; some in fear, some in wonder.

"I'm not going anywhere near him. He seems dangerous." Daniel said.

"Yeah, and I'll bet he'll bite your head off." The feminine one said with laughter. This frightened Daniel.

"He's gonna bite my head off?" Daniel asked in fear. His legs were quibbling. Ollie felt bad for this 'Daniel' character and tried to assure him that he wasn't going to bite his head off.

"I'm not gonna bite your head off. I don't do that." Ollie said. Daniel felt relieved.

"Well, what do you do?" The gentle and authoritative voice asked. Ollie saw that this one looked like a bear. Daniel was a wolf. The female was a lamb. He assumed the gloomy one had left since the only one there was goat and he seemed to be the total opposite of gloomy.

"I don't know. What are y'all?" Ollie asked. The things looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" The lamb asked. Ollie explained.

"Well, y'all are talking animals. Surely y'all have a name or something." Ollie said. This triggered the lamb.

"Hey! Watch who you're calling animals, buddy! Alright? Or else, I will see to it that I eat you myself!" The lamb said angrily. The others blocked her away and tried to calm her down.

"She didn't mean that. My name is Daniel. I am a proxywolf. We are Proxies." Daniel said. Ollie nodded.

"My name is Ollie, Ollie Hutskin." Ollie said and made a gesture to shake Daniel's paw. Daniel found this fascinating and shook it. He was proud of doing so.

"Wow, you have a second name! We only have first names. Whoever named you must really love you since they gave you two names." Daniel said. Ollie thought this to be odd but said nothing.

"This guy over here is Harvey. Harvey is a proxybear. He's our leader. And you've met Meredith already. She's a proxylamb. (He whispers this next sentence.) And a pain in the ass too, if I may add." Daniel said. Ollie chuckled.

"What did he say about me? What did you say about me, Daniel?" Meredith asked. Daniel cowered down.

"Nothing! I said nothing! Nothing at all! I'm just a stubborn little proxywolf trying to get by in life." Daniel apologized. Meredith rolled her eyes.
