┊ ༑ ࿐TWO YEARS AGO, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BELIEVED THIS. The whole fight was about her not wanting to go, but here she was, in the middle of a crowd full of men, watching (the once small man) look all big and mighty in front of them, if you would call the shiver and uncertainty in his voice big and mighty.

"The Star-Spangled Man With A Plan!" she had seen him on television on her way back and from work. He was absolutely everywhere, and she had gotten many requests to talk about him or at least put some festive music on her radio station for him. She almost did, but no one convinced her enough, and she wanted to keep politics off her station.

On television, he seemed so colorful, but seeing it up close and personal, he looked dull, and everyone saw it. It was awkward, mostly because the people he gets reactions from are young boys. Him trying to act that way in front of men 20-40 years old was not going to work out.

"How many of you are ready to help me sock old Adolf on the jaw?" Steve spoke into the microphone. Winta had to hold back a laugh since the crowd was so silent. The feeling of second-hand embarrassment was something she hated having, but since Steve was basically her friend, she didn't feel that at the moment. And that statement wasn't working at all for anyone.

"Okay. Uh... I need a volunteer?"

"I already volunteered!" How do you think I got here?" A man yelled, and the unnecessary statement left the crowd laughing and having feelings, which Steve was trying to obtain but had no luck getting. Maybe Winta and Steve weren't friends because the feeling she hated was crawling up her back.
