CHAPTER TWO-Actually Happening

AFTER HIGH SCHOOL

Bella's POV

I laughed as I sat down on the couch of me and Stevie's apartment. "It's true out of nowhere he just broke out singing Teenage Dream" She laughed as she sat down next to me. "Well at least Ashton will do that, Taneli just makes disturbing noises..." I trailed off. There was a knock on the door "Are you expecting Ashton?" I asked she shrugged and I rolled my eyes and walked to the door. I opened the door to be faced with Taneli and Ashton. "Hey" I said hugging Taneli and nodding my head towards Ashton and he did the same back. I let them in and then we all sat down on the couch. I sat by Taneli and had my legs on top of his and leaned my head on his shoulder. Ashton sat by Stevie and was curled up into his chest. "Are we ready to do this?" I asked out loud. "I am!" Stevie yelled "What are you guys talking about?" Taneli asked. "Today is the day we visit the Shanghai Tunnels in Portland Oregon!" I said jumping up.

"When was this planned!?" Ashton said standing up "In sixth grade" Stevie said "And you never told us?" Taneli said standing up as well "We told you now" I whispered. "Well it sounds fun, I'll go" Ashton said "Well I'm a bit mad that you didn't tell me earlier" Taneli said "Stop! You guy's barely fight this is stupid!" Stevie yelled "I'm sorry I didn't tell you" I whispered. "It's okay, I guess I'll go" he smiled making me smile.

I ran to my room and changed into black skinny jeans, black long sleeve sweater, my black converse, and my band bracelets. I grabbed my black jacket and walked downstairs. "Are we all ready?" I smirked and they nodded. Stevie was wearing her black skinny jeans, her black v-neck, her galaxy converse, and her black beanie. And she had her hoodie in her hand. I slipped on my gray beanie and my glasses and walked out the door to the car. I sat in the back so Stevie could drive and Ashton could sit next to her. I leaned my head against the window and I felt a hand on my leg. I looked to my leg and saw Taneli motioning to my hand to I put my hand in his and he wrapped his fingers in between mine and he smiled at me. I smiled back and then leaned my head against his shoulder.

When we got there it was around five in the afternoon. We all got out of car and all of a sudden the energy changed it was suddenly really heavy. I grabbed Taneli's hand again and he looked at me and nodded. We started walking to the little opening that goes all the way down to the tunnels. We walked down and all of a sudden I felt something cold run down my back and I shivered and brushed it off. We kept walking and I checked my phone and it was now six. We kept walking and I felt someone push me and I fell to the ground "Whoa, Bella are you okay?" Taneli asked making Ashton and Stevie turn around "What happened?" Stevie asked "I-I was p-pushed" I said standing up. "No you weren't, tell us the truth" Ashton said "I am" I said "I can believe that" Stevie said.

I glanced at my phone and it was nine. We were still walking and I felt a weird pain on my back and legs. I stopped and they noticed. I fell to the floor holding my legs and then Taneli ran over to me. "What's wrong?" He asked concerned "M-my back h-hurts a-and so d-do my l-legs" I said before I almost cried out in pain "Can w-we look at your back?" Stevie asked I nodded weakly. They lifted up the back of my shirt and gasped "Taneli take a picture of that!" Ashton exclaimed. I heard the noise of a phone going off. He showed me and I gasped. A star had been scratched into my back and it was bleeding. I stood up weakly and started crying "W-why are th-they doing this to m-me" I cried into Taneli's chest. All of a sudden Stevie was shoved against the wall and she groaned in pain. "S-Stevie?" I stuttered out turning around as she slid down the wall "C-can we leave" She stuttered "Yeah" Ashton said. "Ow, what the fuck was that" Taneli said pulling his jacket sleeve up I softly grabbed his arm and saw that there was three soft scratch marks. "Three" I whispered. If you don't know what I'm talking about three is a demonic number. We were all walking quickly out when Ashton was pushed making him run into my back pushing me forward as I cry in pain and fall forward.

We finally got out of there and I was in tears, I've never been in so much pain. I got in the car and as soon as Taneli got in I curled up in a ball against him "I-it hurts" I cried. He softly rubbed my back and kissed my forehead. We got to our apartment and I ran as quickly as I could up the stairs and changed into shorts and my sweatshirt. I glanced at my legs and saw them all scratched up I shrugged and walked downstairs.

"Cheap wine and Lion King?" Stevie asked "Cheap wine and Lion king" I nodded walking into the kitchen grabbing glasses and brought them to the living room. I sat down on Taneli's lap holding the glass of cheap wine close to my face. We put Lion King on and just watched trying to get our minds off the terrifying thing that had happened moments ago.

And that's how it started...
