Hopeless Romantic - Eddie Munson

The Beginning

  My love life has never been
quite fair. It's always been hopeless, hard to
really achieve anything that
amazing. But before I tell you about that, let's
  start at the beginning.

My name is Alexander Loom. I'm 18, in my senior year of high school at Hawkins High. I would give anything, if it meant leaving Hawkins. I joined a group called Hellfire when I started my senior year, these kids are total geeks, but I feel at home around them. It's just a small group for the nerds that enjoy D&D campaigns. I remember the day I joined. this guy, Eddie, sat next to me at lunch and started going on this rant about how he could "see how lost I am". Total freak, I know. I was not convinced whatsoever.

"I'll give you a free tat if you join the campaign"

I nearly choked on the milk I was drinking from one of the crappy cartons the school gives out for lunch. There was no way this guy was getting anywhere within ten feet of me with a needle. I gotta admit though, it was the reason I joined. What kind of weirdo offers to give someone a free tattoo just to join some silly fantasy game. Anyways, that was the start of my closest friendship in years, Eddie Munson.

I didn't expect to enjoy Eddie's company so much, but he was simply just enjoyable to be around. The people around us may have thought we hated each other, or that we were too harsh, but we just gave each other the brutal push we needed to move forward. We both knew that we definitely 100% meant the things we said to each other, but in the nicest disrespectful way you could think of, understand?
