"Hey have you heard about the new Pokémon sighting? Apparently the Pokémon looked human-like but is made out of flames."

"Yeah, but no one else has seen it except some little kid. Even so, all sorts of trainers are going to that forest to search for the supposed rare Pokémon. For all we know, the kid could be making it up."

"And if it's actually true?"

"We'll just have to see. It won't take too long anyway with the amount of trainers."

Currently Grilby was exploring the forest he woke up in along with Vulpix who walked beside him. They had earlier found some berries that tasted rather delicious. Though.. reminder not to eat the red spiky ones..

The berries reminded Grilby of his bar/restaurant. Thinking of what he had left behind made him feel sad. He didn't know if he could go back to the underground or not, there wasn't any sort of entrance of it near where he woke up. Although he did like the surface with it's nice feeling of the sun and the sky along with other things, it just wasn't the same as to how he felt in the underground.

Most of all, he just missed his dear friends. He had no one except his new furry little companion. Which, although saddened him, brought him a sort of comfort. It meant he wasn't completely alone. That was something he was glad for.

Right as he thought this he heard multiple footsteps followed by creatures crying out their names and humans yelling out orders. Wait.. humans?

"Muk!" "Muk use gunk shot!"

"Raichu!" "Raichu use thunder shock!"

"Sneasel!" "Sneasel use fury swipes!"

The creatures aimed their attacks at Grilby and Vulpix. Vulpix tried to fight back by letting out a ball of fire from it's mouth. Sadly, it was being overpowered. When Grilby saw this happening, he tried to come up with a solution of how he and Vulpix could do to get away. Vulpix was then attacked in the side by the creature named Sneasel.

Grilby knew he had to do something quick. So he shot a couple balls of fire towards the Sneasel and the other creatures. After distracting them he then rushed over to Vulpix and picked it up before attempting to run away.

However, he had made the mistake of forgetting that there were humans there. He barely avoided getting caught in a net trap that was set up by them. Along with the fact there are traps, there are now new creatures from seemingly out of nowhere. Right as he was about to shoot fire at them to try to slow them down, he accidentally stepped in a trap.

He tried to get out of the trap as best he could but he couldn't. Vulpix couldn't do anything as it was tired and injured. Grilby could hear the humans saying things about him. How he would be worth quite a lot. That they had caught what could possibly be a mythical or legendary Pokémon that was never heard of before.

What is a Pokémon? Is it what the humans call the strange creatures that could talk? Most importantly, are they going to sell him? Are the-

"Knocked it out so it wouldn't try to cause trouble." A tall man said.

"What of the Vulpix?" A woman asked.

"It's too weak to do anything at the moment. It's young from what I can tell." Another man said, looking at Vulpix who at the moment was weakly trying to fight it's way out of the trap.

"Splendid. Once we heal it up we can sell it off along with our main catch." The woman said before the two men who previously spoke picked up the trap that held Grilby and Vulpix and loaded it into a van.

The woman took out her phone and called someone as she went to the front of the van and sat in the driver's seat. "Yes, we have captured it. We're heading to base now. Oh don't you worry your pretty little head off, it was quite easy to capture. We also managed to capture a bonus Vulpix along with it too." The woman said as one of the men sat in the passenger seat and the other one went to drive a truck. She talked a bit more as she started to drive back to the base she was talking about.
