(Suddenly I got DETERMINED to make as much progress into this book as possible. Sure I could turn this chapter into two or more, but I feel like keeping it in one. My longest chapter ever; be prepared for 6,000+ words lol)
Grilby looked down at the two Pokémon in his arms before looking at the doors that had closed again. He decided to set them down on the floor before opening a door and slipping through it into the room.
He wasn't one to fight much. However, what he could at least do was finish the task he had given himself.

.Grilby grunted as he quickly ducked down into a row of cages, trying to at least hide himself from being seen by the guards. Even if they are busy fighting, what if they are to abandon it in the reasons of recapturing him?
He could feel a spark of fire off his face. Right, he should focus.
He looked at the Pokémon in front of him, they were larger ones. One had a purple body with marks around its head. It was without arms or legs, it slithered around. Grilby was reminded of a Parsnik, a head that had.. he doesn't remember but the Pokémon looked similar to what was on its head, just much larger. The other was much sharper looking. It was yellow and black, and had large silver cones as its hands and tail. Its red eyes seemed to be piercing into Grilby, examining him unlike the purple one which didn't appear as suspicious of him. There were various other creatures besides them, varying in sizes and shapes.
He raised both hands at the Pokémon, an attempt to show he meant no harm. He then moved his hands at an angle so he wouldn't be aiming directly at the Pokémon within, deciding to start on the one that was a bit more trusting with his presence. It would give the other a good example to trust him a bit more.
Fire steadily shot out of his hands, melting the bars. He decided to melt them in a wide circle as the creature could simply angle itself through it, he only melted the outsides of the circle rather than directly melting it. They were thicker bars so it would still take longer despite the tactic change... how is he to get them all out if the larger cages will take so much time? A spark went off at that thought, although he was pulled out of it.
"Vulpix!"
"...Squirtle." Squirtle looked off to the side, standing beside Vulpix who was jumping up and down at Grilby.Grilby quickly turned his head to look at the two, keeping the fire steady while he spoke.
"Why did you two follow me? You could get hurt, go back outside of the room where you're safe." His face didn't show it, but his tone clearly conveyed the worry and also the sternness.Vulpix sweat dropped before shaking its head. Squirtle was clearly still feeling reluctant but agreed with Vulpix. Grilby could see them becoming good friends.
He turned to the bars only to see some unmelted pieces were going to fall off as the points they were attached to were brittle due to the melting. Wait. If they fall, they'll be quite loud. Them being loud will attract attention to them, which will be—CLANK!
One fell, creating a loud noise. He could see out of the corner of his vision that a guard had heard it. The guard looked in their general direction before being distracted by an attack.
There were more bars. He should've thought this through."Squirtle, Vulpix, please snap off the others before they fall to the ground..! We don't want them to be creating loud noises." Grilby quietly hurried the two Pokémon beside him, who nodded and went to work, creating a pile off to the side.
It didn't take long after that. Grilby kept himself from letting out a sigh as a large enough hole was made for the purple Pokémon to slither out through.
"Arbok.." It hissed out after it got out of its cage, intently looking at Grilby as it neared closer to his face. It then nodded its head at him, flicking its tongue before slithering out the way and behind Grilby. It only took a moment to acknowledge the two smaller Pokémon, hissing something that Grilby couldn't understand.
