REMINISCENCE

After the Kingston's left, i went to the main house to meet father and tell him how the meeting went. When i reached there, i saw that father and mother were sitting on the sofa in the living room, just talking, laughing looking at each other lovingly like a couple still experiencing puppy love, sometime's there love gives me a little bit of hope that maybe I'll find someone who will love me just like my father loves my mother, but then reality hits and the realisation that it will never happen.

" Hello mother, hello sir " i announced my arrival and went inside to take a seat on the chair beside the sofa.

" Hello darling how come you're here without you're dad threating you to take your bike away?" mother said and laughed mocking me.

" I have to discuss something important with sir mother, that's why i came without notice" i said and father's eye's met mine as if he knew what was up, and i suspected that he did... cause afterall he is the head of the gang there are lot of people who give him information about what's going on in his absence.

" Honey why don't you bring us coffee and the cupcakes you made awhile ago, athena loves them" father said in a soft tone and mother got the hint that he needed privacy. She smiled and went in the kitchen.
Father got up and walked into his office and i followed behind him. We went inside his huge office which had a library, a huge gun cabinet with different types of beautiful gun's, and everything was dripping with luxury, alike me my father also has a taste for luxury. My father sat in his chair and looked at me with his infamous poker face, something rivals are afraid of and something i am used to.

" What was the reason behind you're decision athena, i need an explanation, better make it a good one" father's stern tone cause me to sit uptight and look him straight, cause right now I'm not dealing with my father I'm dealing with Sir Arsenio Pheonix, the don of pheonix corporation, and when he wants a answer from you, you better find one or else god himself will give you the answer, when you'll visit him.

" Sir i know i made a risky move here but i think that they may have some alter motive. I have to keep an close eye on them to know what is it they're hiding and why they are the one's who want to break the ice between us. This time i think something is diffrent, something beyond our understanding, and i need to find that out. I will not let them get away sir, you may please trust me upon this" i explained.

" If you feel like that's the matter then i won't stop you but whatever you do, do it with precision and thought one wrong move athena and you'll loose and you know that it isn't an option, cause you won't loose alone. And yes you have to attend the party they're throwing, consider it as a chance to enter their den yourself". Father said and disappointment was all i felt. But what he said made a point if i have to know what they're upto i have to go to the party myself.

" Yes sir I'll attend the party" i sighed getting up and was walking away when father stopped me.

" Athena you are an ace, never think that you won't be able to win, do whatever in your power to win against them. And if you loose against the Kingston's you have to give up on you're position as the ceo of our company. Let that be a motivation" he said and started reading a file. i stood there staring at the door tear's threatened my eyes but i didn't let them out, this is the chance where i will prove myself i will do anything to win, anything. I sighed and got out of the office.

I walked out of the main house towards my car that was parked outside the door. I called arthur beforehand and sent him at the designer so that he can make sure i have something to wear for tonight. I went and sat in backseat of the car when i noticed a weird smell coming from the inside of the car. It was a strong smell of a men's perfume, a cheap one at that. And as long as i remember no one beside arthur and my driver ever sit's in my car as this is one of my personal car's that only i and arthur ever use, and arthur would never wear a perfume that smelled so cheap, and if my driver is the one to wear it, why didn't i smell it earlier. I asked the driver that who was in the car before i came and he said that he left the car unattended and went to use the washroom.
